I live in mid-Carrollton and I'm wondering if you've used air duct cleaning services. If so, were the results worth the money and how much does it usually cost?

What can I do next?

I do this in my home about every 2 years....it is very reasonably priced and makes a big difference especially if you have allergies of any kind. I used a company called Doug's Mighty Clean. Their number is ###-###-####
Very professional company, did a great job and didn't try to upsell me.

B.,

I've never used a service for duct cleaning, but I work for Air Force One A/C in Dallas and we always refer our customers to Guardian Services @ ###-###-####. While I don't have first-hand knowledge of their work I've also never heard any complaints from our customers. So, no news is good news? They also do mold remediation, if it's not real bad.

Also, I saw on your "about me" that you work from home. I'm disabled and I'm going to have to start working part-time at work, part-time at home. I've been looking for something, but there are so many scams out there! Is your at-home job something you would recommend? If so, what company are you with? My personal email is ____@____.com and I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thank you! Merry Christmas and God Bless! S.

My A/C company recommended Blackmon Mooring to clean our duct work. I don't recall their cost but if you go to their website, www.blackmonmooring.com, they have information to help and a phone number. I think they price out by the number of vents you have, so count them up before getting quotes.

Blackmon Mooring came in, cleaned the ducts, disinfected the vents (a little extra money), and identified places in the line that needed better sealing (mastic).

Since having them do the work, I've noticed a tremendous reduction in dust and particles and they were professional and courteous. It was worth the expense, in my opinion.

Hello.

I chose to do it for my home that was built in the 30s. It cost me over $200 and that did not include any disinfectant. That was at least another $150 more. Looking back I probably would not have spent the money. Reason is because I did some basic searching and discovered the services promise more than they can truly deliver. Search for yourself so you know both sides. For us, we still have as much dust, but then I likely always will with dogs.
