My son is 15 months old and I am a stay at home mom. I'm looking for some fun activities to do with him while we are home. If anyone has any fun activities that they can think of please let me know.

What can I do next?

Try finger painting or other arts & crafts ideas. You don't have to spend a lot of money: use house-hold items like old egg cartons, toilet paper rolls, some old magazines, etc. You do the cutting and help him paste photos onto objects like old coffee cans. You can then put some dirt & some marigolds in the decorated coffee cans. Remember to have arts & crafts time at the same time every day. Also: read to your son every day-preferably at the same time every day - like right before bedtime. Also, try teaching him nursery rhymes or have song time every day. If he is very active, take him on a walk every day.

www.toddlertoddler.com has a lot of fun activities for toddlers. My girls really love the virtual zoo, as well as some of the games and crafts.

C.,

I belong to a great playgroup. There is only 3 active moms curremtly. We meet mon. and wed and we have one field trip a month. Also we have one moms night out a month, were the moms go to dinner some where. The kids are all under 2 right now, so you would fit right in.

Hi C.,

I don't know if you have heard about JW Tumbles. They are a children's gym in the Allentown/Bethlehem area. I have been there and it is great. They offer classes and they are parent participation so you can still spend time with your son. They have a bunch of fun activities and the instructors are really nice as well. Hope this helps!

Oh and their number is ###-###-####
Good luck!

I just did a simple craft project at home with my kids for Mother's Day that they loved. We made pompom collages for the grandmothers. You will need a small, shallow box where the lid actually comes off the box (small gift box, candy box, tie box, etc), glue sticks, pompoms, scissors, and thin ribbon. While my son (3 y.o.) was able to put glue on the frame (inside of box lid) and stick the pompoms on himself, I had to help my daughter (21 m.o.) since she didn't understand how to use the glue stick. She would pick a pompom and place it in her frame wherever she wanted. I would pick it up, rub glue stick on the spot in the frame and put the pompom back on the glue spot. After the collages dried, I used scissors to punch a hole in each of the top corners then strung ribbon through the holes to make a cord to hang it from. While the kids enjoyed creating something they also had fun playing with the pompoms. They threw them in the air and at their own faces and they squished them in their hands. My son called out the colors and sizes he was using. We really had a good time with this one. (Just watch that your son doesn't put the pompoms in his mouth.)

Hi C. ~ I am not sure where you live there is the Leesport group amd the Reading Moms meetup . There are always lots of activities going on between the 2 of them. PLaydates and such. If you arent interested in playdates how about just taking him to a park or up to Cabella's to see the fish and the animals. My son is 13 months and he loves it there ! We also play alot in the yard. He likes to roll the ball back and forth. we play catch .Bubbles all sorts of things. let me know if you would like more info about the 2 groups I was telling you about.

You could join Gymboree, take a music class (www.makinmusic.com), go to your library for their summer reading program or join a moms club where you could be in a play group and do other various activities. My daughter is 14 months old and these are activities that I have done with her so far.
