Acid Reflux-car Seat Help

Mamas who have a kid with acid reflux.. My daughter screams in the car almost every time.. anyone know a good infant carrier that does not aggrivate the acid reflux? For the time being we have her in the convertable carset which is better ( she sits up) but we would like to have an infant carrier for the winter months ..

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

We went on craigs list and got a chicco. We also have learned that we give her the meds then feed her.. not the other way around. so far we have had a few good trips in the car.. hope it keeps up.

thanks

My son had reflux and liked his seat. Key Fit 30. It was purchased in 2008- I don't know if they've changed.

Britax Marathon was the best for reflux.

ETA: oops, sorry just realized you said CARRIER for winter months. Are you sure she is going to fit in it for that long? I had BIG babies and was never able to find a carrier that lasted longer than the first 4 months. Good luck with that one :)

I loved my Graco, but the truth is, you're not going to find an infant carrier that sits up enough to help the reflux if she has it that bad. Infant seats are just not made for that due to the floppiness of the spine.

My son has acid reflux too, he is almost four and has outgrown the worst of it. We used the Graco Snug Ride, but I would have preferred the Chicco Key Fit, but I was suppose to come out three days before the birth of my son. Calming music really helped my son, especially the Rockabye baby, they are lulabies that are music that you know, Bon Jovi, beach boys, Pearl Jam, Madoona and Cold Play. http://www.rockabyebabymusic.com/?nav2=false My son would stop screaming as soon as I put this on. good luck, car rides can be so taxing. Hang in there, it will get better.

My twins had reflux and they loved their carriers, their carriers sat up more than others. Looking at some of the baby retail websites it looks like the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 30/30 sits upright more than the others, the con with it is it is over $249.

Hi! All three of mine had reflux but were medicated....they slept upright in their Graco carseats until they were able to sleep on their backs.... For my most recent baby, that was about 6 months....

Anyway, I was just wondering if you had asked your pediatrician about this.... If your baby is still so uncomfortable maybe a new or different dose of medicine is needed...

Just a thought.

Good luck finding a solution.
