Abdominal Cramping in 1St Trimester - Miscarriage?

My sister-in-law just got pregnant after years of trying. She's maybe 1 month to 6 weeks along. She has a dr. appt. on Monday, but I just talked to her and she's having some abdominal cramping. She says it's not the lower abdominal pain that you have with a period, more like the kind when you have diarrhea. She feels like she has to poop and can't. Anyone have a miscarriage with this kind of cramping? Also she has scarred tubes. Anyone ever have a tubal pregnancy and know those symptoms?

I know she'll find out a lot on Monday, but I'm just worried and wanting reassurance. I'm just hoping she ate something that isn't agreeing with her.

Dear Page,

I haven't Page, but I will pray for your sister-in-law and brother that their baby will be fine. Keep us posted.

Blessings....

It could be gas and cramping associated with constipation. That seems to be one of the fun side affects of being pregnant that I started to notice right off the bat.

There is some cramping that can be quite painful as the baby attaches to the to the wall of the uterus so hopefully thats all it is. She should just stay off her feet and go to the dr on Monday if no bleeding.

I had a lot lot lot of cramping with both of my pregnancies (two twins pregnancies) The last one, was so much cramping I even went in to the Dr. at 5 weeks to make sure all was okay. It was, and they are 3 now.

I had an ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks and the pain becomes severe. My body actually did kind of clean itself out; I threw up everything I'd eaten and had major diarrhea and somehow I knew that's what was going on and we headed to the ER (it was the middle of the night). My body also had this reaction (vomiting, diarrhea) when I had appendicitis (when my daughter was 9 days old). If your sister's pain becomes very strong then she needs to go to the ER and find out if she has an ectopic pregnancy, you don't want to wait too long or the fallopian tube can rupture. On the flip side, a friend of a friend just went through this and then found out she was having twins!
Good luck and prayers to you both.
C.

It might be the uterus stretching. (?)

Hopefully, she is well and has clear answers this week.
Unfortunately, I have had a miscarriage and an ectopic. The miscarriage felt very much like severe menstrual cramping and I started to spot then bleed.
The ectopic felt more severe than feeling constipated. It was only on one side and was accompanied by shoulder pain on that same side, which is common. It especially hurt after I ate a heavy meal. Like the miscarriage, I also started to spot then bleed, but the pain on the left side didn't go away with the bleeding like it did with the miscarriage.

Blessings to her. Hopefully, it is nothing more than the usual aches and pains of pregnancy. Let us know how she is...
