Any other suggestions? Or spelling alterations to get 9 letters, hopefully our 3rd will be a girl and I won't have to carry out the tradition, but if not I'm kind of leaning towards Christian--I just have such a hard time with that name flowing off my tongue , but I do think it goes well with my other boys names :)

TIA

Look through a phone book at all the last names, maybe you can find a 9 letter last name that would be suitable for a first name.
Here's a huge list of 9 letter words... maybe you can find something here:

I like Christian the best, but even though I'm very religious I don't think I would use it, maybe b/c I have a jerky former friend with that name who is very, very un-Christian and I wouldn't want to take a gamble like that!
.
... I like Sebastian, but boys get teased A LOT with that name. I like Nicholas... but if spelled correctly it's only 8 letters. I'm pretty against creative spelling for the sake of an unusual name, only b/c it's a nightmare for the kid's entire life. Sorry don't like any of the others :)

I love your already-figured-out answers. I say stick with those.
And I know a girl named Christian also. She goes by Chrissy though.

I like Broderick, it is different. thaddaeus could sound like a lisp, Sebastian is too.....not sure....Zachariah, not sure but I do like Zachary. Christian is nice but popular and Nicholas is very popular. I just googled "9 letter boy's names" and a website came up with all of the boy's names with 9 letters...check it out under baby names 1000. All the ones you mentioned are on there so you may have already done that. What about Jonnathon? jefferson? henderson? wow, this is a hard one. Honestly do you think anyone will ever know? do you have to do them all the same?

I have three boys, all A's, all with 5 letter first names and nine letter middle names, two of which are Alexander and Nathaniel.

My MIL has 6 grandkids, all A's!

This, just to let you know you're not completely crazy....just a little! LOL!

i am partial to Christian, but that is my hubby's name so i guess i'm biased, lol. I also really like Zachariah!!! just wondering, are ya'll willing to go with a name that is not 9 letters? I like the name Tristan-7 letters, Matthew-7 letters, my very favorite is Jackson-7 letters....I have 3 boys, so we are all done with the baby names. Good luck!

You've recieved some awesome suggestions. I like Nickolaus or any sp variation of that one. Sebastian is cute too but IMO it goes better with a darker complexted skin type...hispanic, greek maybe italian. I also like Broderick but if you or your hubby are German, you could do the German spelling...Broderich. Still pronounced the same though, at least in the U.S. :)

My oldest is a Christian so that's my fave ;-)

I also have a Zachary so Zachariah would be my second.

The last two are typically spelled Nicholas and Thaddeus so adding extra letters to get those to nine is a bit of a stretch and will probably be a PITA for your child because he would have to correct the spelling every time.

Funny that you also have Nathaniel - that was our Zachary's name until about a month before he was born!

Other nine-letter names:
Jefferson
Johnathan (again, would have to spell to correct vs. Jonathan)
Mordechai

With the two you have already i'd skip names that also start with a or n..that said i love Sebastian, Christian, and thaddaeus (Thad pronounced tad is cute!), and think Broderick is kinda cool. I Also like Frederick and Jefferson, and love courtland (cort or Cory?)

There are pretty cool nine letter girl names too.. Elizabeth (beth/Liza/Elle), Josephine, Charlotte, Nicolette, Jacquelyn, Gwendolyn (Gwen), Francesca, Gabrielle/a, Genevieve, Catherine/Katherine (cate or Kate/Katy), Anastasia, Annabelle (Anna), and two of my friends have daughters named marabella and Ellington (they call her Elle or elli), which I think are super cute!
