thanks,

So What Happened?

thanks y'all for the tips. I just order a baby ergo and the buggy board. Now i have 2 choices, let's see how works better, becuse definitely we are going to keep doing this "journeys". we love to go to downtown.
although with the ergo baby i need to take out my baby from her car seat and with this cold weather i rather don't do that.
once again: THANK YOU

One more vote to carry the two-month old in the Ergo and put the other two in the stroller. I own MANY slings and baby carriers, and I liked the Ergo the best.

Children still get even past four years old. Your solution should depend on how long do you think your four year old will need down time when you are out? Most of my friends and I did not dump our strollers or at least the lightweight versions until the kids were about five or six. Depended on the child. Now that they are teens and twenties - they still whine when we go to the mall or long walks :) You could carry the two month old in a back carrier or just dont plan to do such long walks when you have all three.

I actually put my 7 year old in the back with my 3 year old on her lap and my son 3 yr old son in the front and it is heavy but i can push all three of them. We go to downtown chicago a lot and my 7 yr old gets tired too and it works believe it or not with my duo glide stroller and it is 3 years old! If not this way sometimes you can buy a boogy bard type attachment for the back so the older on can stand i believe. good luck , J.
I did have a tripple stroller when the twins were newborns and she was 3-4. Loved it but never could get int in the car to go places so this was the best move for us. and it worked nd i still use it evry now and then for our downtown long walk trips frim the train to milienium park etc and they are 4 and 8 now!

Do you have a sling or a Snugli that you can carry the 2 month old in while you push the other 2? Not easy, but it would work in a pinch.

Good luck,
K.

I also had a duo glider stroller with three kids. The baby would ride in the back seat while the twins (3 years older) took turns in the front. The one who was walking also had the option to stand up on the basket frame. While I pushed they would lean against me. Even though the stroller is not designed with this arrangement in mind, it turned out to be strong enough. (We no longer use the stroller now that the twins are 5 1/2 but it is still functional with no signs of wear from using it this way.) You would need to be careful that the standing child is the first off so that the stroller doesn't tip back.

Otherwise, I would do the front/back carrier option for the baby.

Put the 4 yo in the front seat and carry the 2 month old in a Baby Bjorn or baby carrier on your back. Works like a charm!

I have the exact situation. My 2 year old and 4 year old take turns. One walks for a bit while the other rides. And just keep cycling them around in turns! Hope that helps

HI , Bring a body wrap, or body carrier for the 2 month old. also they have this harness animals you could put on the 4 and half year old. that why you can switch the children around. plus , you could bring a helper or friend along. lets face it .. children don't like to shop.

good luck
