How common would it be to have your first incidence of spotting/light bleeding at 12 weeks of pregnancy. With my first I had none. I am 12 weeks pregnant now and while I was sitting on the floor I felt light flow. It was red but did not seem like all blood, more like fluid with enough blood that it was red. My husband and I had sex the past 2 nights in a row. I am hoping that is all that caused it, but I'm scared because there was enough fluid to pass through my underwear and to color my pajama pants. I'm waiting for my ob to call back...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

He said to go in tomorrow if there is any more bleeding and 3 hours later I had more bleeding--enough to wear pad and feel like I should change it. Not soaked through at all but I'm still freaked. My poor husband is all freaked out and was ready to cart me to the ER. I had to break it to him that if it is harmless bleeding then it will run its course but if it is miscarriage at 12 weeks there is nothing a doctor can do to stop it. Absolutely no cramping, pain, or tissue. How long after sex will this continue in your experiences?

I am 21 weeks pregnant and I have had spotting and light bleeding through my entire pregnancy so far. I never had any with my first either. It happens randomly, sometimes it will be a few days since we've had sex. It could be sex or it could just be just because. I freaked out at first, but they do not seem to know why I am bleeding and the baby is just fine every time they check her. Hopefully everything turns out fine, but I know exactly how you feel, good luck!

it may very well be ok, but i would still get it checked out, you might have the beginnings of a urinary tract infection, that would explain the slight bleeding. talk to you ob and explain your symptoms

I had bleeding with both of my pregnancies and have 2 healthy children. I still freaked out with both, but I was lucky that it was harmless. Hope you're going to see the doctor today and hope all is fine!
