I am going to schedule a doctors appt monday but I want to know if anyone else has had this with their child or might know what is going on... its a little weird and Im starting to worry...

I know a white tongue with red dots can be a symptom of scarlett fever (and yes people still get it). Also the white could be a yeast infection. I hope he's ok! I would just watch out for other symptoms and if he has a fever. Good Luck
**I should mention scarlet fever is caused by strept**

It could also possibly be thrush which can cause white spots on the tongue. If it is in the earlier stages, there are not many other symptoms. I would definitely schedule an appointment as you say just to be sure. Scarlett fever could be pretty serious.

Sounds like he has a virus. Is he up to date on his vacccines? Measles often presents itself with little white dots in the mouth. They are called Kopliks spots. Start him on probiotics right away. This will help his diarrhea. Target sells a really good one I use called Culturelle for diarrhea. It is flavorless and you can mix it with water, milk or juice. His GI tract needs to get back on tract. Make sure he gets lots of fluids too. Good luck!

Sometimes when the gut gets irritated, it stays irritated long after the initial cause of the irritation is over. My son once had it for almost 3 weeks. As long as you can keep him hydrated (Pedialyte, Gatorade) and keep his electrolytes in balance, he'll be fine. It's ok to check it out with the Dr. No other symptoms is a good sign. He's eating and that's good, too. It's tough being patient, but sometimes you just have to wait it out.

The loose bowels is definitely a sign that something is going on that his body is trying to eliminate. You don't say how old your son is but one thing you need to be concerned about, regardless of age, is dehydration. Make sure that he is getting plenty of fluids...the more the better!!! Has he been eating a lot of things that are highly acidic ? If I eat a lot of tomatoes it can effect my tongue. I would try a bland diet for a day...no fried foods, no spices, let his intestinal track "rest" and see if it can make a bit of a difference. My best advice is to keep that doctors appt on Monday!!

If your doctor cannot find anything wrong, or if whatever treatment he gives does not work, check into parasites. Look it up online. You will be amazed what you find.

I am guessing your child is younger than 15 months. When my daughter had those symptoms especially the white in the mouth it was thrush. The pedi gave her nystatin. The diarrehea we had to switch to soy milk for a few weeks and just wait it out with pedialite. They told us to stay away from all dairy.

My daughter just went through that, too. Initially she was diagnosed with Gastroenteritis. Her blood work and urine came back fine. We are just waiting on her stool sample. Docs said no yogurt or apple products, but she could have crackers, bananas, jello, rice, Gatorade, water. They also prescribed her Bactrim. She took that 2x's day for 5 days. She is so much better now. She missed being outside (had to stay indoors during day because could not be in sun while using Bactrim).

throw away all the bottle nipples and replace with new ones the bacteria from thrash stays on the nipples even after washing so it will come back. as far as diarreha over the counter pediatric imodium should work just give small dose to stop it..no milk at all.. and you could give him corn starch that really works..

Diarrehha is very dangerous in young children. You should not wait that long to take him to the dr. It can be any number of things. If you give over the counter things like Imodium that will just mask the symptoms and prolong finding out what it is.
My son had severe diarrehha for a month under a doctors care and they finally figured out it was a parasite.
They need to be figuring it out.
