Working Mom Looking for Medela Products in Loop

I work in the Loop and need to pick up some more Medela pump and save bags as well as a few more bottles. Is there a place in the Loop that sells them? The closest I can think of is the Target on Roosevelt. I would prefer something more in the heart of the Loop that can walk to during lunch. It would also help to know where I could get replacement parts in case my pump breaks during the work day (this is something I'm always worrying about).

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks everyone for the responses. I work toward the south end of the Loop so it looks like the Target on Roosevelt is going to be my best option. Good to know about Parkway Drugs if I'm ever further north though. Oh, and I've looked at Walgreens and CVS. I've only seen Playtex bags which would probably work in a pinch. Thanks!

Hi T., I know Parkway Drugs in the 680 N. Lakeshore building sold everything you needed. They may even deliver. Good luck.

Check out diapers.com Here is a link. http://www.diapers.com/Product/SearchResults.aspx?FreeTex....

No tax and shipping over $50 is free. I used them for diapers and other seventh generation stuff and it was very convenient. Ships to you usually within 2 days.

Hi T.,

Parkway Drugs is a pharmacy in the playboy building (in between Huron and Erie on N. Lake Shore Dr.), where my pediatrician's office is. There many be other places closer to where you work, but this place sells all sorts of Medela and other breast feeding-related things.

Good luck!

You may be able to find the bags at a pharmacy like Walgreens or CVS.

Parkway drugs that some other posters referenced does sell Medela products, they do deliver, and they also rent Medela hospital grade pumps...so if something should happen and your pump is not working, you can call them for that as well. According to one of my friends, Parkway has a monthly rate, but if you only need the pump on an emergency basis, you can negotiate a weekly or daily rate as well. She rented a pump from them because she didn't have very good luck getting milk with her PIS (I use one and it is fine for me)...she had extra pump parts delivered to our law firm in the loop one day when she forgot them. Good luck! My baby is almost 6 months (also have an almost 22 mo old) and have been pumping at work for this one since I went back at 12 weeks! Tough sometimes, but totally worth it
Also Lansinoh bags are sold at the Walgreens by me and they are great too!

I had the best luck (not downtown specifically, but in general) at the 'old' drugstores that weren't chains. There's a great on at Fullerton and Clark for example.

If you are close to any hospitals, a lot of them have places where you can get nursing supplies. You said that you are in the south loop, I know that Rush has a store devoted to breastfeeding supplies.

Good Luck

have you looked on the Medela website for a location in the loop? ( www.medela.com)
