Bi lingual means translations of transcriptions - I know someone else who does this, and she makes very good money doing this.

Good luck!

Contact your local school districts and office of education. They often give trainings to parent and community groups that need to be translated to Spanish; they also have documents that need to be translated.

Do a search, there are a couple of these posts a week and some have good links. You won't get a corporate type job without having to pay for childcare, but I've seen many moms post links to freelance type websites. Bilingual is a huge plus, you should be able to find something.

I think if you have kids at home your best option is child care, take in a few kids part or full time.
If you're married and your husband works days you could look for something evenings and weekends. I know a few moms who have done this and actually enjoyed it.
If you ARE able to find a valid job that you can do from home you will need to pay for someone to watch your kids while you work, so I'm not sure that would make sense financially (?) unless it was a fairly high paying job.

There is a website www.odesk.com you can go to. I know someone who gets work from there.

I agree with maybe doing child care. If you get a work from home job you may need to hire someone to watch your kids but if time is managed correctly you can get away with working from home without having to get a babysitter. I work from home and I work when my kids are in school.

You can also sell cosmetics for Mary Kay lol ;).

eBay is a great way to make money. Start by selling things around your house that you don't want, and you can also shop at garage sales, thrift shops, etc. for stuff to sell.

Also, if you can write, check out places like elance. You might be able to pick up some jobs there.

One more thing - check craigslist regularly for jobs, and make sure to check the "telecommute" box when you do searches. Every now and then a really great job will show up there that you can do mostly from home.

Good luck!
