I don't know of any...BUT!! I do want to warn you.

Working from home is not as glamorous as it sounds. Yes, you can do it in your pj's from your couch and toss some laundry in or sweep the floor, but it's bonafide work.

You would need to hire a nanny or babysitter to watch your baby while you work. Most places make that a requirement, from what I know.

I worked for a large consulting firm and worked from home for several months between contracts, and while it was great, the work was ALWAYS there. I never felt like I could get away from the stresses of my job.

Congrats on the new baby!! My good friend works for hotels.com and works from home. I think she had to go to an office location for the first few weeks for training though. She has 3 kids, but she works the 3 to 11 shift so that hubby can take care of the baby while she is on the phone/computer. But she gets up from her computer often and walks around and does a load of laundry or fixes dinner on her break and tucks her kiddos into bed. I really don't know much else about it but I could find out if your interested.

And do you mean you want to find something like selling Mary Kay in your spare time? Or are you looking for a full time job that will also allow you to watch your child? (cause that second one isn't going to happen. Work is WORK, not hanging out at home and playing with a baby while getting paid)

Ok, I am likely not going to be popular for this, but phone sex is decent paying. There are reputable companies. Of course it isn't for the light of heart or those with jealous husbands or boyfriends....

I have been through your same situation. I have been able to find a couple of families through our church and neighborhood that need sitters a couple of days per week. I have been asked to keep kids full time, but I just don't want to commit to 5 days a week. The money is decent, and for me, it's really not work, because the extra kids keep my 2 boys entertained all day, so I actually am able to get a lot of housework done on the days that I have extra little ones running around. It depends on your finances. I do work in a MLM selling vitamins and natural nutrition products. If you consider something like this you need to realize it will take time to build your business........ depending on your personality. It is unlikely that you will make much the first few months. Some people do well practically over night but you have to be a real go getter. Some people will go nowhere because it's hard to self motivate.

I'd be glad to tell you more about what I do if that interests you, but I would start by making a list of what your goals are. How much you need to make, etc....

I just wanted to add to what the first poster said about working from home. I work from home on a contract basis for my former full time employer. It's a great opportunity and perfect for me. However, I make a fraction of what I used to make and have no benefits. There are always a lot of distractions at home and no social interaction, other than by email. I never would have been able to do this with an infant or toddler at home without a babysitter. Even now with my kids in middle school and high school I try not to work during summer break and find it almost impossible to get much done when they are home from school. Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope you find something that works for you.

here's the bad news - to work from home - you will be WORKING - you will NOT be able to with your baby 24 hours a day. I work(ed) from home - as a recruiter - I cannot have kids screaming, playing, etc. in the background. It is a JOB....

Working from home is NOT for everyone. You HAVE to work. It's not like you get to play. That's a common misconception...when I have contracts that I am working on? My kids are NOT home. PERIOD. I am WORKING.

If you want a job that will bring in money and let you be with your daughter. Sell stuff on craigslist and ebay. No customer service with phones will be required. you can sell stuff that your children no longer need or have outgrown.

I hope you don't think I'm being rude. But working from home IS working. if you can't live without your paycheck - I would suggest that you start taking all of your money and plunking it down on your debt so you can live off of one paycheck...check out Suze Orman or Dave Ramsey....but please know that working from home IS WORKING.

I freelance doing online customer support (online only, no calls) and technical writing. It is nowhere near what I made working FT. I'd get a HMM membership and start looking at what's out there so you can make a proper determination for your own needs. It took me a year of looking to find this job.

My sister worked PT from home for her same company after her son was born and before his daycare was ready for him. She says she'll be relieved to have a regular schedule again.

Have you thought about asking your current employer for some work/projects that you can do from home PT? That would probably be the best because they know your abilities and might be willing to be very flexible to keep you as an employee, even PT, rather than lose you entirely. And....you might not mind going in to the office a day or two per week!

You'll be hit up with all the direct sales/MLM on here with this type of request. Beware of anyone telling you that you will get rich and not have to work or make investments or recruit people.

I am NOT trying to sound mean but working from home is WORK.... it is not getting paid while you spend time with your children and clean your house.

IF you were to find a company, they would most likely require you to have child care as most people who work from home have. NO company wants clients to hear children and/or pets in the background.

Most companies would never start someone out working from home. You must prove yourself first to be a self motovator, self disciplined person with good worth ethics.

We do work from home running our company. It is not MLM/direct sales, it is legit work with consulting, brokering, managing trucking companies for our deliveries, managing inventory in the warehouse, etc. It is WORK that ends up being 24/7 because it is our company and we answer to no one but ourselves. It is hard and yes it is very rewarding as well.

Be very careful as you sort through all the ads (MANY SCAMS) recruiting work from home people. There is a huge market of people who want to work from home and end up scammed. No one pays someone to stay home and play with their children all day.

Think of something you like to do, something you are good at and see if there might be a niche market for your ideas. Babysitting and tutoring are both good options.

Agree with the others who said work from home is work. You will have to ignore your baby sometimes or have baby play by himself and then you feel guilty that you're not paying attention to him. I did that part time until my son was 13 mon old. Then, I had to get a nanny because he was bugging me too much during work, or watching too much tv.
