Has anyone had their child's birthday party at Wonderscope located in Shawnee? I am thinking about having my son's fourth birthday there. Any thoughts?

What can I do next?

We're going to have our daughter's 5 year old party there. We heard that the parties are great and price comparatively with other places in KC I think it's a great for the money. I know Paradise Park will not allow any of the children to stay past the party -- the cost is $200 for 8 or 10 kids I think. Another good place is Dave's gymnastics (in Lee's Summit) if you have a lot of kids you are going to invite -- I think it's about $130 for 20 kids and you can do the pool or gym.

My Dd had her parter at Wonderscope a year ago when she turned 5. It was a blast and reasonably priced -- and the food/drink is included. (NOt a fancy cake -- cupcakes and apple juice....But we had a hard time getting everyone to stop playing long enough to eat anyway)

Another benefit of Wonderscope is that parents can stay and you don't have to pay anything for that. We had 17 kiddos at my dd's party and the extra parents allowed us to divide into groups in the different rooms - as there were different paces/interests.

The only negative I have to say is that it was a bit chaotic the day we had our party. There were too many parties ---BUT that was b/c the previous weekend had been a snow storm and several parties from that weekend were rescheduled into the weekend of our party. That said, aside from being crowded it went very smoothly.

I would say that for the money it is one of the most affordable and high value parties. With the group of kids I invited I think NOTHING would have stopped them from coming to the party. One mother got up early to try and arrange a ride for some of her kids when one of them got sick and couldn't attend. (And Wonderscope had no problem w/ this little girl's brothers taking a cupcake home to their sick sister her was 'really sad' she couldn't come.)

It is a place kids will want to come.

I had my daughter's 5th birthday party there. She had so much fun and everyone enjoyed it very much. ANd for the price it isnt bad at all. And you dont have to clean up. Hope this helps. It is a worthwhile time.

We had my son's 5th birthday party there last year. Everyone had a great time. The price is right (if you are a member you save 10%) and all the kids can do their own thing. You will need parents to attend with their children. I really liked it because they provided food and did all the clean up. I would definately recommend it.
