Wondering How to Reach Other Moms Because I Want to Be a Support

I am a tutor at StarChild Tutoring Center of Denver. I have been in business for a little more than a year but am not sure how to reach the moms in the area to let them know I am here. It really isn't a matter of advertising per se, because my services are just that, my desire to be a support to families who want personalized care for their child's needs. Can the moms who want to help their child over a bumpy time and gain self-confidence respond to this request? Thanks to anyone who understands a request to be of help.

What can I do next?

Hi J.!
There are lots of ways to get the word out - you can join (or start) mom's groups like this one and ones on Yahoo Groups, you can let MOPS groups know and put an ad in their newsletters (usually for free), put something out there on Craigslist, join or start a Meetup group at Meetup.com

Good luck! What specifically do you do? Tutor? In what? I might be interested in getting some help for my soon to be 2nd grader in reading. Also - I'm a mom to a 20 yr old girl, a 19 yr old boy (and then my little ones 6.5yrs and 4yrs) if you ever want to talk!

I would get together a list of supporters that have known you & used your services so you have the backing you need to support the work you do with the kids & go to kid oriented businesses. I would suggest day cares, camps with disadvantaged children, Drs offices maybe. There are so many places such as MOPS organizations etc.....

You can try rocky mountain moms- (online) There are many groups online that you can find locally to meet your needs and get the word out. You can also go to ning.com and create your own community for free.

Hope that helps!
