Woke up and Bleeding but Not on My Period

I got off my period about a week ago. When I woke up today I had blood like a period. I've never had this happen. Also, I was starting to take the pill, but I came out of town and forgot to bring them. I have had a "weird" feeling down there so I think it's weird that I had blood. Any suggestions help.

If you were taking the pill then stopped for a couple days, that's why you're bleeding. I forget what its called, but that's what it is. If it lasts more than a week or isn't slowing down you need to go to the dr. Otherwise, it should stop on its own

I'm with Alicia. You've messed up your cycle by not taking your pill. Start your pill cycle over just like in the very beginning...take your first active pill on sunday and get re-regulated. I would also suggest for the next month using a back up BC like condoms until your body get's regulated from the BC hormones.

The people who warned you to go to the doc, did not read your post through. You are bleeding because you missed pills not because your health is at risk. You are not protected from pregnancy, so do be very careful. You will need to start the pills all over again. pills cannot be missed. they must be taken daily and preferably at the same time of day,or you put yourself at risk of an unwanted pregnancy.

This is called break through bleeding because you stopped taking the pill after you started taking it. You will need to wait it out until you start your period again and then start on the pills again and don't skip any. You will need to use a back up method of birth control for the next month.

go to the doctor, call your obgyn. Speak to the on-call nurse if the obgyn is busy.

Go to the doctor. You know your boddy better than anyone. I had a similar thing happen and it turned out I had uterine fibroids and needed surgery. But whatever it is if it is concerning you go see your doctor. Good Luck!

this could be as simple as missing the pill or as complicated as something serious. either way you need to go to the doctor or at least talk to the nurse. to find out what is going on. i would have agreed that it was just break threw bleeding but since you feel weird down there. it needs to be checked.
