I've inherited one of my grandmother's sets of china, and quite frankly, I don't need it! I have other things of hers - things she used that remind me of her - and the china set is just taking up space. When we cleaned out my grandmother's house, none of the other relatives wanted the china either, but it seemed a shame to just put it in a garage sale, so I brought it home, where it's been sitting in a cabinet for the past 2 1/2 years. Does anyone know where I can go in the Dallas/Ft Worth area to 1) find out its value, and/or 2) sell it? It's a mint condition full set of Noritake Younger Image Dominica 6925 from around 1971, if anyone on here knows anything about china. (I don't!) I've Googled it, but so far I haven't found a site that can give me an estimate, and there aren't any listings on eBay for the entire set.

I deal with Replacements, Ltd out of NC to get pieces of my china and sterling that are discontinued. They could possibly be interested if the condition is good, etc.
Oh, and I believe there is a place in Richardson (I've not been in ages so it may be closed) called Neha's China or something like that. Theyhad collector pieces. They were off Campbell Road and I think Custer or Independence.
If ebay doesn't have a listing out there for the entire set - it's possible there is NOT a demand...This is what i found on ebay for that set.

You can go to http://www.replacements.com/china/N.htm and find out what they would charge to replace the piece and go from there...however, I would state, that it's only worth what someone wants to pay for it...someone can tell you it's worth $1K - but if someone doesn't want to pay $1K for it - it's not worth that much.
So if you have a full set - that includes serving bowls and platters? I would start out low - say $24.99 for a set of 4...yeah - it's cheap but if there isn't a demand out there - you won't get a buyer....try craigslist and ebay....or a garage sale...keep in mind that it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it!
