I bought some Disney Princess poster coloring books and my daughters and I liked them so much that I used markers to color the favorites and used them to decorate my girl's bedroom. It was a simple affair but they loved it & now we're moving. My girls really want me to bring the posters but they're just paper and markers stuck on the walls with plain pushpins. I can get them down and I know poster frames are made but they run about $10 each and we've got quite a few posters to do- so I thought perhaps laminating them would work. Anyone know a place in Garland that I can take these and have them laminated? Obviously I'll pay for it and am hoping to come out cheaper than buying poster frames. If any mom has a better solution then by all means please share! We move in 2 weeks and I only just came up with the idea of laminating-other things have been a bit more important but I do want to please my little girls and make their new room as familiar as I can. Coloring these DID take hours and hours...

Since Mardel was the main recommendation and here in Garland, that is where I went today. I was able to get everything laminated that I wanted to. I did have to cut down some of the posters but little picture was actually lost and it only affects the shape which turned out rather cute. :) In all, I did 34 feet so the price came out to just under $10. That is EXACTLY what I wanted! I'd have easily spent ten each on frames had I NOT done this. Thank you all!!!

I am not sure about Garland...however in Hurst there is a place called "Teachers Tools" that do a great job at a reasonable price laminate papers, posters, etc.
I can totally understand wanting to preserve the special art...to laminate is a great idea!

I'm not sure if you have a Mardell's in Garland, but that is the best place to laminate and the most cost effective.
I do not know about Garland, but you might check with Kinko's.
I've never tried this myself but a friend of mine bought a clear contact paper. It was cheaper than paying for laminating.
Ditto to Tam. Mardel has a do it yourself. It is so easy to use and is .25 per foot.
I'm not sure if there is a Mardel in Garland, but if not, there is one in Mesquite. They have a laminator and you can do it there. If that's not convenient, try any teacher supply store. Don't have any idea about the cost, though! Good luck with the move!!

The staff is very helpful if you've never laminated before, so if you get stuck, just ask for help. They also have instructions posted everywhere for reference.
You may want to check with the Garland store to verify they offer this service. I know that my local Mardel in Plano does.

If you don't want to do it yourself, Staples does it relatively inexpensively. I have them laminate all my posters!
If you have a Mardel's in Garland they probably laminate. The one here in Arlington has a laminator you do yourself for only .15 a foot!

Hi, I have gotten laminating done at the Kinko's in Mesquite (635 off Town Centre Blvd) for a poster and it was kinda expensive but it was the really thick laminate. Then I noticed a small mail shop on Broadway Blvd in Garland. I can't remember exact name but you can google Mail Centers in Garland Texas and it should come up. They have decent prices on laminating. One other idea is clear contact paper. You can lay items on the sticky side and then cover the opposing side and cut out. A bit cheaper and slightly more time consuming but works nicely
I don't live in the Dallas area, but as far as laminating, you can use clear contact paper to protect the pictures/posters that the kids want to keep. Not sure how much that costs, but it works well.
Staples and Office Max are cheaper than Kinkos. However, any place like that would do it.
