I'm just surfing the net, trying to get tired, listening to "Foster the People" on my MP3. I love this group! However, Dave Matthews Band is my all-time favorite!

What is your favorite band or song to listen to on your MP3 or IPHONE???

What can I do next?

I must be missing my youth. Right now I'm obsessed with singing along with songs about being young and having fun.

Anything Rise against. Um, Sadly that is the only thing I love listening too over and over and over again.

Other people/groups I love....and do occasionally listen to though:
Florence and the Machines
Adele
Ben Harper
Bon Iver

Anything sickly mellow dramatic. And oozy if that makes sense:)

Well, right now Adele is favored (I acutally still buy CD's and listen to them in my car) part of it is my son gets in the car and says "boom boom bomobom Rumor has it" - play it play it! He likes the drums and repetative "hook" on that one!

Kelly Clarkson, Doughtry, Sarah Barreilaies (sp) and Miranda Lambert. But I am also a Broadway baby! However you can never go wrong with DMB!

The great thing is you can make your own play list. I listen to very diverse things. I love bands or artists, but some songs more than others.
You get to pick and choose.

Have fun!

Brandi Carlile: Turpentine is just freaking awesome. It's not new (5-6 years old? I STILL drop everything as soon as it begins).
Adele: One and Only (When this song comes on, my boys automatically look over at my husband and smile, because they know we WILL be dancing to this song before it's over....and if he's not here, then I'm singing into my wooden spoon). :)
And our wedding song: Me First and the Gimme Gimme's version of "Danny's Song". Yeah, that's right---I didn't stutter. That was our wedding song, lol. (And instead of hear comes the bride, I marched to "The Imperial March" from Star Wars, lol).

If you looked at my music, you'd either admire me for being eclectic or fear me for being a complete schizophrenic. There's no rhyme or reason to my tastes and moods.
We do like Foster the People: Pumped up kicks is my son's favorite song (and ANYTHING by Cake, Brian Setzer Orchestra Band, or Bob Marley, lol). And Laura mentioned Slumdog Millionaire---that was a GREAT soundtrack for a GENIUS movie.

The CD I kept going back to because I love every song for the past year or year ad a half is Florence and the Machine.

I have been obsessed with the Artic Monkeys for a while now and my husband and I are going to a Black Keys/Artic Monkeys concert in a couple weeks so I have been switching back and forth between the 2 bands getting in the mood.

I am pretty fond of a lot of music that people have probably never heard of here in the states. BUT...Here ya go!
Right now I have the sound track to Slumdog Millionaire in my car. Ringa Ringa Ringa is my fav. on that CD
I love salsa music. Grupo Niche, Marc Anthony, Buena Vista Social Club (old old old salsa and dance from Cuba). We also love cumbia and merengue.
I am in love with Adele right now.
Waka Waka by Shakira is a favorite of my kids (it was the theme song to the last World Cup, soccer)

We listened to Mumford & Sons a lot over the winter. Now that it's finally getting warm, I'll make the kids listen to Belle & Sebastian, Beck, Radiohead, Muse, Queen, David Bowie, the Beatles, and Reverand Horton Heat. They'll make me listen to more current pop & dance stuff so it balances out!
