What Is a Good Christmas Present to Get for the Babysitter?

My neighbour is a wonderful lady, and watches my son and occasionally my daughter also. She never allows us to pay her anything. She is also always baking breads or other things and bringing them over to us. I really want to get or make her something good for Christmas this year, but we really don't have much money (first year with a baby is tough). Any ideas on something to get or make for her that doesn't cost much?

What can I do next?

I love photo gifts, there are some great deals out on half off online photo site gifts like photo books and mugs, coaster, etc.
You could snap a pict of her and the kiddos and frame it for her, she could always use the frame if she ever wanted to replace the pict.

Maybe buy an apron at a craft store and have the kids paint their handprints on it.

Dear N.,
I would make a floral arrangement with the evergreens in my yard, if you have one. I would make a Christmas Stocking with your children's names or family name on the back. I might take a picture of her with your children and take it to kinko's or something similar to have made into a mug, calendar. I would make her a Christmas wreath and put little things that your 8-yr. old could cut out, or fimo clay design and that should not cost too much.
You have a treasure for your neighbour, it's a wonderful joy to let her know how much she is appreciated.
Good luck,
Happy Thanksgiving,
E.

AC Moore's has a coupon each week in there ad for 40% off. If she likes to bake and cook they have some wonderful products you can use to coupon on, like new bake sheets, sil pads, cake pans, baking utensils, etc. They also have some cookbooks. You could also buy a scrapbook and make her an album showing your appreciation with pictures of the events she was involved in with your family. They have crafts your daughter could make for her. There is so many inexpensive great gift ideas there. People don't expect gifts, but I am sure she would appreciate anything you get her.

What about going to your local craft store, and purchase a stepping stone that you could make and decorate for her yard. Do your kids hand prints for her....let your oldest put some jazz in it. :)
