Weight Loss - Hutchinson,KS

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me out a little. I am wanting to lose some of my baby weight from after having my daughter. I was in the best shape of my life when I was pregnant and life kind of hit me like a truck after I had my daughter. I'm not really looking for a diet, I eat well already but it doesn't seem to help. I work from home and take care of daughter, where we live it is really hot, it hasn't been under 100 degrees at all this month, so going out for walks isn't a real option. We swim a lot, and sometimes walk around the mall and stores. Between being prone to passing out from the heat since I was little, and back pains that make it so I can't move if I do any strenuous activities. I was told to get a treadmill but I don't have the money or space for one of those in my home. I was wondering if anyone knows of some product that can help with weight loss that they know from experience works. I don't want to throw money away trying some product that says it works, I want to know it really does. I also have a problem swallowing pills. I have seen products like the "Full Bars" and some drinks that say they work but are not very cheap. I am only looking to lose 1-3 jean sizes, ha!

Any help would be wonderful, and thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

Yoga. Often there are reasonable lessons given through the Y $5.00 per class or at the county $16. to take 10 weeks. I learned yoga from books and took off three sizes. Once I got good at it I took private lessons from yoga teachers...just me. I do yoga to this day. It works if you do it. All you need is a mat and the space for your body arms out to the side and your length is all you need to check for.

i knew i needed to lose weight after my second son... it was out of control in my opinion so i cut the sugar drinks down to once a day (drinking only water until dinner time) and started walking. i don't know if you have time warner cable where you live, but here in nc there is a channel called sports and exercise. exercise tv has been a God sent... there is a walking program with leslie sansone... i started with a mile and then worked up to 3 miles 4 times a week.
i noticed after a few months, the walking was becoming less effective so i tried some of their other programs. right now, i'm doing the cardio workouts. today i did fat burning cardio with kendell and it was great. i definitely felt the burn and the sweat. i absolutely hate to sweat, but sweating lets me know it's working! =D i do several of the videos on this channel (just to change it up) and at least 4 times a week.
in addition to the exercise, i've been using a website called loseit.com. it's awesome and i totally live by it. you put in your weight, what you want to weigh, how fast you want to lose (it won't allow more than the healthy 2lbs./week), add your food (literally everything you put in your mouth), and exercise in as well. this program calculates how many calories you should eat per day and how many calories you burn when you work out, you can add friends for support as well, and the best part is it's FREE. =D these things have definitely helped me... i've lost 40 lbs. already. i hope this info. helps you get started. ~happy losing. =D

Hi A.,

My husband lost 110 pounds in 2005 and has kept it off. He comes from a big family and I mean BIG and he never really understood nutrition. When we married I cooked very nutritious meals for him, low glycemic as I had eaten growing up with a diabetic Dad, and he was still large. He didn't overeat and he was not a couch potato. Toxicities in your body do not simply go away and they will continue to wreak havoc long afer you have been exposed. Most foods these days are laden with chemicals.

My husband had dieted with almost every fad and lost weight only for it to come back. That's when I told him we werent dieting anymore I was going to get him healthy. I started him on an ABSORBABLE multivitamin/mineral complex and the weight started dropping off. No diet change and no activity change. The nutrition was getting to where it was supposed to get and doing the job it was supposed to do. I believe if your body gets what it needs, it will balance in weight, whether you are overweight or underweight.

Rob's best friend was impressed and tried the vitamin and lost 50 pounds, same scenario. My sister in law lost 15. I had a tiny little friend who wanted to gain weight and she gained 10. This is in pill form but they do have a childrens chewable with an adult dosage if you'd like to try it. It's inexpensive for the quality you get. If you want any more information, let me know. I can send you some published information. No one that as tried it has told me it hasnt worked.

God bless!
M.

Hi A.,
I my self have been struggling for years with trying to lose the weight. I recently finally said enough! Signed up to the gym. That's the only thing that gives me motivation to work out. I have all the workouts videos at hm but I need to see other people workout to get motivated. It's my second week as so far I love it! I also try to eat differently, any carbs like bread, muffins, cereal in the morning (before noon) then in the afternoon i try to stick to protein and fruits and late afternoon protein and veggies.. 4-5 small meals a day to keep my metabolism going.

The thing that helps me the most to stay focused is actually a natural pill called oxyelite pro ;-) It's my day 7 on it and I have to tell u it is a miracle pill for me! It automatically give me more energy (u need to eat 15-30 min after so u don't get shaky) and I feel like it's a happy pill as well. I wake up a new person, I feel more energized, happy, more positive and most of all I'm not constantly looking for food! My hubby sees a big difference too. He just started to take it 4 dy ago. Weight loss wise I feel like I'm finally starting to loose inches (might b because of the workout 4-5 times a week and better eating) But I believe the pill is what really has helped me . I met with a personal trainer yesterday ( I got a free session when I signed up) and asked him about it and he said that is one of the pills out there because what's in it is everything our body allready has just much more of it. He also told me not to waste my time on the treadmill or eliptical but instead do strenght trainig because when done right it's cardio and weights in one ;-) He showed me many different things to do and holy smokes I was sweatng more then on the eliptical.
So I say start with the pill and go from there, it's doing wonders for me so far. ( I tried different ones in the past that made me feel bad) Good luck
A.

I was in the best shape of my life before I got preggers with my third child...and I have yet to take the weight off, but I can tell you how I lost the weight prior to my sweet Alex = ) It wasn't anything too difficult. First I cut out my soda drinking and switched to diet, I made sure if I was drinking that it was calorie free and I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks time Just by making that single switch
( apparently I consumed way too many calories through beverages!) I cut out all sugar from my diet except sugar that would be found naturally say in fruit.
I know that artificial sweeteners are not that great for you, but I cannot give up sweets entirely and I will say Splenda is a pretty tasty substitute if you cannot live without some sweet.
I was working out, but not crazily. I really think it had more to do with my diet.
I did not go no carb, but I significantly cut down on the amount of carbs I was ingesting. I did make myself drink a lot because a lot of times when we think we are hungry we are really just thirsty. I kept lots of healthy snacks on hand for when I had cravings so I could stay strong = )
I really do not think there is a miracle pill or product...because if there was we would all be skinny = )

Not a fan of fad diets anyway.
Can you walk w/her in a jog stroller 3/week +?
Then can you do weights at home?
You can buy a few of them inexpensively.
Then do planks, situps, lunges, tricep dips etc 3 days a week.
Eat light but make sure you have protein (chicken, salad etc.)

No, sorry, I don't think there is a product that isn't a waste of money. As far as being limited with weather and space, try Leslie Sansome Walk at Home videos. Write down everything you eat for the next few days to see what your caloric intake is. Then remember that you have to cut out 3500 calories to lose a pound. (Two pounds a week is a reasonable goal.) Eating protein with lots of fruits and veggies and whole wheat keeps you feeling fuller. Good luck

Hi A.---Just be sure you are eating mostly fruits and veggies, particularly veggies, whole grains, beans and legumes with some nuts and seeds (sparingly). These groups should comprise about 90% of your calories. Animal protein contains mostly fat and calories and contains nothing that you can't get from plants. Go to www.pcrm.org and explore.

Exercise is imperative. You need to find a way to make it happen. Get out early before it gets too hot...walk later at night. I like the idea to go to the library and try different types of exercises to see what you'd like. Then schedule the activity like you would any other appointment and honor that appointment.

Have fun...and like the commercial says...JUST DO IT!!!!!!! Good luck...D.
