Well, ladies I am slowly getting to the end of this marathon. I am 30 wks! YAY! I was wondering if any of you had a wax down there while pregnant? My va jay jay is a mess right now. I know a little much. I have been lazy in that department. Really, I have not seen the point. When I got preggers, it was the 1st time my hubby & I had sex in 6M and then we have only done it 2 times since I been pregnant(that's another story I am sure you have all read about) so I knew he wouldn't be down there. I thought if he randomly would be to quick to know. lol I know the dr. has seen worse blah blah blah but I am just really to self conscious to go in there all hairy. I know my dr. will start the vaginal exams soon so I want to look decent down there. What did you do? All natural? Shave? Wax? I need some help!

What can I do next?

I've been shaving down there for about 5ish years, so when I was pregnant it was really easy to do without looking. Just go slow... Maybe set up a mirror some how.

After my water broke I told my mom that I wanted to take a quick shower before she drove me to the hospital when in reality I was trying to shave as fast as possible! LMAO!

Yes we see it all but it's honestly gross and unsanitary... When my water broke I took shower and shaved, ya I missed some spots here n there but it's better than nothing. No xcuse to have hair run down ur belly to ur vagine down ur butt to ur legs! Ewwww....

Wow, I never gave it any thought! Just a little trim to make sure it didn't hang out of the swim suit.
And the DR? Yea, he's not gonna notice one way or another.
I'd be more concerned about your husband...sex only two times since pregnant? Not a good sign of things to come :(
Good luck....

I keep mine shaved. When I was preg I had my hubby help me shave it. I had a wax done too but it grew back so fast b/c of the vitamins that it wasn't worth the cost. You can always get an electric shaver and just keep it trimmed.

I shave now and shaved while I was prego. I am so used to it and have been doing it so long that when I was 30 weeks and above I was able to do it without looking, slowly of course. I say shave it or at least clean it up or go somewhere they don't know you and have it waxed. ha ha

This time around I did get a wax around 37 weeks. The girl supposedly "cleaned me up" down there but didn't do a brazillian or anything. I really have no idea what it looks like since I can't see too much past the belly right now. It did hurt, but not as much as labor does! I try to trim it up, but shaving is a no go with the visual issues. For my other two I don't think I did anything.

I left it alone. Seriously, I had way more to worry about than what that looked like. :)

Oh my, with both of my children, I stayed as trim as I could humanly possibly do by myself... whether I was 'active' or not! Having worked at a salon that did waxings, you have nothing to worry about (expect some pain ;)

You're putting way more thought into this than I did. I couldn't see down there to shave, so I would occasionally trim, but when I went in to deliver, I was definitely over grown. Oh well. :)

I shave my bits and wax the rest. I just cant see myself spreading it all for a waxer to see and I cannot have this baby without being 'clean' down there. I am one of the very very inlucky women that grows extra hair while pregnant so I have the joy of waxing my bikini area and then shaving the rest. I dont think I could ever get a full wax and certainly not do it myself
Good Luck

Oh man. Whatever you do, IF you get waxed, go somewhere good! I ALWAYS waxed, but then, when I was hugely pregnant with my first, of course, I had not been waxing and couldn't do it. I knew it probably didn't matter, but I wanted to get cleaned up, so I went to a LAME salon (I didnt' know they were lame, they were pricy and SAID they did bikini waxes...). The girl did NOT know how to wax, she didn't even hold the skin while ripping away the wax (hello, if you're squeemish, don't advertise bikini waxes...), so I got huge black bruises all down there. I was sooooooo mad.

Congrats on your pregnancy. For real, no one will care if you have hair, but if you wax: go somewhere good! OR, you may want to just shave. Even if you have a little growth, at least it won't be tons of looong hair. :)

well i don't know about the rest of you, but I couldn't see anything down there when I was pregnant. There seemed to be this huge mass in the way. Ya know because I was pregnant. Not only could I not see but I could barely reach, and I don't trust anyone but myself around such a sensitive area. Ive never shaved our waxed anyways, just trimmed. I say you're pregnant, who the heck cares what the doctor and nurses think. Sounds like you ned to be more concerned about what your hubby thinks. If you guys haven't had sex in a while.... I doubt he will be very picky.

i've never had the wax done, I have always just shaved. It got to the point when I was around 36 weeks and up that it was super hard to do, and I know I missed a lot of places. when i was preggers with the twins after I got to 36 weeks I just physically couldnt reach at that point I was so big. but I always keep it shaved down there, it just feels cleaner to me.
