I will be traveling with my 2 1/2 year old on a long road trip in the next few weeks. I need to get her a tray to attach to her car seat for the road. Do you all have any suggestions? I think I'm leaning toward the Taby Tray, but not 100% sure yet. Anyone have experience using this? Good? Bad? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We have a Fisher Price tray specifically made for Carseats. It's soft but has a hard plastic insert so the kids can color and stuff on it. We got our at Toys R Us( but in the babies R Us section). They make two sizes and I would recommend the Deluxe, which is a bit bigger.

I have read somewhere that hard trays can really hurt a child if an accident would happen. So we got a soft tray on ebay (just type " car seat tray" in the search......they are 19.99, navy with storage pockets on the side and a buckle , they work great( we have britax car seats)).

We just used our travel high chair tray. Yeah it doesn't clip to it but it gets the job done and doesnt cost money.

You never want to use one of the trays sold for your car seat. Think of it, do you really want something that hard strapped to your child ina crash... it will go right into her abdomen and face. Not a good idea. plus it will void the warranty of your car seat because you cannot use aftermarket products on a car seat.

We used the Side Riders on our car seat. They are mesh and pop open adn clip to the side of the car seat on the fabric. Still not the absolute best solution since its still an aftermarket product, but its not right in front of your child and its not as dangerous. You can pick up a pack of two for $10.

I am looking at the same one. The only bad review I am finding is that it won't fit on Britax car seats. I don't have a Britax, but I am still debating too.
