Tent Camping with 3 Month Old

Hello - We'll be going on our first overnight camping trip w/ our 3 month old this weekend - 3 nights - and I'm looking for any advice. It is supposed to be @ 47 degrees each night. Is that too cold for her? [If so, I can sleep in my parent's camper with her, but I would like to avoid that if at all possible (there will be at least 4 others in there & I know I won't sleep well w/ all that, and they will likely wake up if she's up). If I keep her in our tent, should I dress her in several layers, a hat, blankets, etc? We have a really thick sleeper, almost like a snowsuit w/ hands enclosed, but I'm worried if we use that or restrict her movement too much that she'll be up a lot (she usually sleeps with her arms straight up over her head!). Can we use a little electric heater, if our tent is really well ventilated? I'm not sure what the best way to do this is, to keep her & I sleeping as much/long as possible. Thanks!

What can I do next?

It is not too cold. I would put her in warm fleece jammies. Use a pack 'n play and put a thick quilt under her and cover her with a fleece blanket. I camp with my babies all the time and this works really well. Bring lots of warm clothes for the evenings and mornings.

It won't be too cold! Sleeping in cold air is actually really healthy! I would NOT use a heater. It's too much of a fire hazard, not to mention potential skin burns.
I think if you dressed her in the warm sleeper with a little hat you would be fine.
I salute you! Camping with an infant sounds like a nightmare to me but my sister did it with both of her kids and had a great time! I hope you sleep well!

We've camped with our kids since they were babies also. We camp in a pop up camper and have always set up the pack and play for a crib where the table goes. I'd just bring lots of warm clothes, hat, mittens. I think it's just one of those things you have to try out and see what happens. Talk to those in the camper and "reserve" a spot just in case. Have a great time and safe trip!

Thats not too cold for her, and you will be surprised at how warm your tent will stay if you keep most of the windows closed. I'd snuggle her right in between you and your husband, dress her in a nice warm fleece sleeper, and call it a night. :)

our boys have been camping with us in a tent since they were only a few months old.

I use the contured changing mat for my infants bed. Since she's not moving around it's ideal. When they're older you can use the pack & play. Just dress them warm sleeper and have blankets that you can take off if needed.
