Summer Program

Hello moms,
Does anyone have a suggestion for a summer program near the Palos area? I'm looking for something for my elementary aged children for the summer. I'm especially interested in those programs that do have an academic foundation even if it is a summer camp. Your suggestions and recommendations including places not to go to are appreciated.

Check out Trinity Christian College, they usually have some great programs for kids in the summer. It is on Route 83 right there in Palos. Also, Palos Park District used to have great programs, we do not live in the Palos area any more so I am not sure about the park district.

Park Districts around your area... many of them have already come out with Spring/Summer catalog. You could also try pre-school/daycares or summer camps (check out Chicago Parent or Family Time publication for listings).

Have you tried your local park district? They usually have great programs for the summer for kids. Give them a call!

Worth Township has a great program for toddlers through teens during the summer. We love it and cannot wait to send our second child there.
