Sumer Clothes in Phoenix for Baby Born in June

We keep our air cool so I use the sleepers and gowns and bundle him. I had two babies in May and two in October in Phoenix, I currently just had my 5th in April. I keep them bundled when the air is down but just put them in onesies when it's warm or we go outside. I will keep them in onsies but then I'll cover them with a blanket if the car air conditioning is cool etc. I still get cold in the summer because stores etc. keep their air conditioning very cold. You'll still need those long sleeved stuff at times, I'm sure. Congratulations!

You will be wearing shorts and tanks, inside and out, so dress your baby similarly. Tees and super lightweight pants are okay if inside all day, but way too warm if heading outside in AZ summer. You're better off with shorts, tanks, onesies alone, sleeveless rompers or dresses if a girl, skip the socks after the first few weeks, especially since the baby will be swaddled or will have a blanket either on or always available.
My daughter was born in April and we used lightweight footed, longsleeved sleepers plus a swaddle blanket, transitioning to a lightweight Sleep-Sack, all summer long.
You don't want to overdress your baby, especially in the extreme heat, but you also don't want to underdress the baby at night or they will be uncomfortable and not sleep well.

If your needing to get baby clothes just wanted to let you know that on Friday & Saturday(4/30-5/1) the Mom's group of Happy Valley and Deer Valley Village (along with other moms) are doing a resale of kids clothing. It is Friday evening 6-9 and Saturday morning til mid day. Not sure what time. The sale will be on 39th & Happy Valley on the SW corner. I got a cute dress for my daughter for $1.50 and last year I got a jogging stroller for $50. They have other baby related items like strollers and stuff.

Whatever you wear should be your guide. If it is shorts weather, then a shorts outfit is appropriate for baby too. For bedtime the baby won't have a blanket except to swaddle when they are infants, so we had ours in longsleeved jammies (layettes). Baby won't need outfits with feet in them during the day unless your house is really cold. We would however keep a receiving blanket with us to take into restaurants which would be really chilly in the summer.
