Stylist for Curly Hair in Downers Grove

My current stylist is in far west Naperville and is about to go on maternity leave. I love how she does my hair, but I just can't trek out there anymore. Can anyone suggest a stylist in the Downers Grove area that does a good job with curly, thick, slightly course hair? My hair is layered about jaw length and i usually wear it curly....

What can I do next?

The guy who cuts my hair is GREAT. Everywhere I go I get compliments. He just opened a salon in Willowbrook on 75th street next to Ashton Place across from Hinsdale South. He used to cut at Mario Tricocci on Rt 83. The salon is called David Anthony Salon & Spa 327 75th st. Willowbrook ###-###-####. I also get my hair colored there by Mia. Good Luck-hope this helps!

I have very thick curly hair and I go to Lana from TEchniques by Lana. She's at Main and Maple in DG. She gives $10 off the first haircut. I like her a lot.

I go to Rose Startz at the Galleria on Burlington in Downers Grove. She is awesome - been going for over 15 years.

Maria Grassano at Zano Salon Downtown Naperville is fabulous! She has naturally curly hair as well and understands how to make it look its best.

I've been going to my hair stylist, Vince, since 1999. He works out of the JC Penney hair salon in Lombard at the Yorktown shopping mall. I won't go to anyone else because I've NEVER had a bad hair cut with him. I've always walked out of the salon happy. I'm sure he must work with many different types of hair textures. Mine is fine, straight and silky but I have lots of it and he has cut mine in many styles that I couldn't have imagined would work.

J.C. at Rocco & Rocco in downtown Downers Grove is great. I happen to have thin, fine hair ... but, several of my friends with thick, amazing hair also go to her. She does a fabulous job on every head I have seen. Good luck to you!

Hi,

Is your hair of african-american ethnicity? If so, is it natural or relaxed? I know a few people in the surrounding area you could try.
