Ladies, I am having heart issues with palpitations that put me down for the count, since my barrage of tests have come back normal for just about everything, we are thinking maybe it's stress setting it off... what I am looking for is a Therapist , Psychyatrist or Psychologist reccomendation from anyone, someone who ( if need be ) can perscribe me a med for stress.
Anyone?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you to the ladies who replied to my plea ! The majority of you have led me to the same place! I have an appointment set up for next week , so wish me luck. I just want to be functional again.
On another note that concerned most of you is that I already have a Homeopathic doc, who gives me suppliments that help; but not completely.
I have NO caffine , toxins, or junk food going into my body so that is not the problem.
I don't smoke, have any perscription meds going into my body and only drink a couple of times a year.
Sooo, we shall see! I hear of many other women in my situation.
Wish me luck as I wish others luck also.
Thank you all.

Hi Lisa,
I just wanted to give another shout to Gentle Strength in Brighton. I LOVE, LOVE this place. I have gone for three years. We have a standing appoitment every week. Sometimes my husband goes, sometimes I go, sometimes we all go as a family. It just depends on what's going on in our lives. We also get our homepaths there etc. My son loves it there.
Lorie Ausel is the best one to see in my oppinion.
She is awesome. Here is the address: 9841 Spencer Rd.

I can recommend someone, but it's hard to know what area you're in. This is the "just west of Plymouth, south of South Lyon, part of Ann Arbor" area. Her name is Marian Volkman. She's a certified Trauma specialist, Certified Trauma Incident Resolution specialist, Hypnotherapist, Metapsychology Facilitator. sounds like a lot. But stress can induce physical problems. And she helps you to relax.
Her number is ###-###-####. I go to see her myself.

Did they check for thyroid issues? When I had palpatations it was my thyroid and I have been on synthroid ever since and I feel great! I don't hink that you need meds for stress, you just need to make time to do things that make you happy. Take 1 hour a day and make it just for you. Just a thought! Good luck, A.

Gentle Strength counseling in Brighton is supposed to be wonderful. They use herbs and natural supplements, but you might be able to get some pharmaceuticals from them, too, if that's what you really want.

Many years ago I had some serious issues similar to yours and I discovered that it was due to a combination of stress and drugs that I was taking (all prescriptions). I was on Birth control pills, allergy meds and anti-depressants. I stopped taking all of them and after a couple weeks, no more heart palpitations and anxiety attacks. I felt better than I'd felt in years. Take a look at what you are putting into your body, whether it's drugs or junky food or exposure to toxins. All these things can affect your body's ability to cope with stress. There are supplements that sometimes can make heart palpitations worse (like fish oil) so you might want to cut back on those if you are taking them and see what happens.

Best wishes,
J.
