Hi there, my hubby asked me to put a Christmas list together and one of the things I am asking for is a day of spa treatment...so I need some suggestions on some nice spas, from reasonably priced to pricey and of course that they have excellent service. I want to go somewhere nice and with a good reputation from the Moms here that have been. Thanks!!

E.,
My favorite spa in Dallas is the Estee Lauder Spa in Neiman Marcus at Northpark Mall. Many people do not know it even exists, because it is tucked away on the bottom floor of the store. It is the only one in Dallas. I have been there many times, and always come away feeling completely restored and refreshed! They have all services, including many packages.
Neiman Marcus, Northpark
400 NorthPark Center
Dallas, TX 75225
phone: ###-###-####
For details on their services, you can go to:

They do offer complimentary makeup at the end, so you don't walk out of there without any makeup on. I like the fact that they do not push their products on you. They do have them at the end of your visit, up front, if you want to buy anything, but it's not a high pressure thing. This spa is probably on the mid-high end of the price range you mentioned.
Other spas I have been to, that I would recommend are:
The Spa at Nordstrom Galleria
The Grand Spa in Addison (on Beltline and the Tollway)
Enjoy your spa day, and I'd love to hear back if you end up at the Estee Lauder spa!
If you hubby goes there to purchase your gift certificate, tell him the spa is located on the bottom floor. The stairwell is right behind the perfume counter. You take the stairs down, and it is right in front of you at the bottom of the stairs.

It really depends on where you are located. and what you are looking for. I work in a salon that offers some spa treatments. we have a massage therapist, we do facials, hair, parrafin dips, waxing, and a couple other services. it is a very relaxed setting here, and we have actually had a lot of people come to us for a retreat than an actually day spa. If you do want a day spa, Avante is a really good one. They are located in Mansfield. There is also a day spa off of 20 in Arlington. I can't spell the name, but it's pronounced Dradell's. Just do your shopping on places. And my experiance with spas, the people are stuck up. Just to inform you. LOL

I like the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon and Spa at Willowbend Mall. It is pretty expensive, but the service is excellent and it is very relaxing. I have heard that you shouldn't go to the one at the Galleria, but I personally haven't tried it there.

A friend and I absolutely love the massages at Pure Spa (located at the back of the Phoenix apartment complex on Mockingbird). We've had lots of massages, but theirs are always the best. Bliss (at the W hotel) has really great services and products - best pedicure I've ever had. And I'm partial to the facials I've had at Nordstrom's spa (I've been to the one at the Galleria and the one at NorthPark - both great). For a great spa atmosphere, I find it hard to beat the spa at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas. Bad spa is kind of like bad pizza - it's still pretty good!! :) Enjoy your services!

Hi E. -

I recently went to the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon in Frisco. I was treated to a pregnancy massage by a very good friend...it was great. The "lobby" left a little to be desired but once I was in the spa area it was all I imagined a fine spa to be. Very pricey but very nice! Have fun!!
