Do you have one? Do you like it? Does it cause pain? I have one and don't care for it. We have had it for about 5 years, and I wake up with back pain, went to chiropractor and it went away. Know I have neck pain, switched pillows, I sleep great!!!! When I get up there is the pain.

Think it's the bed, or pillow?

What can I do next?

We have one and both my husband and I hate it. We have a bad pillow top and sleep number wouldn't do anything about it. The pillow top dips in the middle and we end up sleeping at uncomfortable angles. I have more back and neck pain than before we got the bed. We want to get rid of it so badly but can't afford to eat the amount we spent on it yet.

My husband loves it and I loved our old one. we got the newer model and I hated it so we have a half and half bed. Years ago, we had 4 sleep number beds, but our company kept complaining. I sold them on Ebay and because the additional beds were purchased at half off, I was able to get most of my money back. If you hate it, you might get lucky though the economy is bad.

My parents are getting rid of theirs. I know they don't like it but that's all I know.

We hated ours and returned it. It still cost us $500. It is basically an air mattress.
I know some other people who love theirs.

I have a sleep number and I love it! Sure there are times when I have issues...so I change my number. I go anywhere from a 15 to a 45 depending on what my back and hips are doing. Right now I'm sitting in bed and it's on a 30.

Maybe try playing with the number and try something else. One thing DH and I found interesting was a 30 coming from a 15 is not the same as a 30 coming from a 60. Try running it up to between 50 and 75 and then bringing it back down till you feel comfortable.

*hugs*

I had incredible back pain for over a decade (most of my life, actually). My husband has RA in his back, in addition to sitting at a desk all day, and he's had incredible back pain for well over a decade as well. We needed a new mattress after our 12 yr old luxury mattress I bought before we got married broke in the middle (it was....a comedy sketch waiting to happen). We used our tax refund to buy a Tempurpedic HD Rhapsody and O.My.Word! We have never slept so well - even as children. Both of us wake up and go about our days now without pain for the most part (there are days when we don't get enough sleep and those days....are not happy). I STRONGLY recommend this particular tempurpedic. Additional happy dance: It's fair trade and slave-free, and actually made in our hometown.

We have had our Sleep Number bed for over 15 years and still LOVE it! We are big people and were going through mattresses quickly. With this we adjust it as needed and I sleep so well. Now pillows are another matter! We finally broke down and spent $125 at Brookstone. I got one for my husband years ago and finally got my own recently after trying several cheaper pillows that all flattened to quickly and didn't give the support I need. It has made a world of difference. I wake up refreshed without my back hurting. I am a side sleeper and my pillow no longer collapses on me but gives me the firm but soft support I need.

You may need to play with your bed adjustment. I need mine up at 90 where when I first got it I started at 35. I find when I sleep and my body gets hot it is time to redo the air.

Karen - we recently moved and had to take the bed apart. When we were putting it together we realized LAST time we put it together we put the bottom together wrong and had the same middle dip you talk about. It was squeaking, noisey and sagging. Now it is back to where it should be, nice and flat and quiet! No more sagging. You may want to try taking it apart and redoing it.

Hope this helps and you get a good nights sleep!

The brand is called "Aireloom".

Maybe they have it in your area.

All I know is, my friend got one, said it is well worth the price, she has back pain, scoliosis, hip pain, shoulder pain, etc. And now with this bed, her pain is gone!
I guess her previous bed, made things worse.

I have it. Have for like 10+ years. My husband isn't a huge fan, but I think its fine. We have a memory foam on it and it makes it much more comfy. When I have it too hard, I wake up sore. But if I make my side softer I don't have any problems and sleep great. I just have to keep my DH away from the remote because he always makes my side harder instead of his!

We have one. I sleep really good but can't find a pillow that I like. We have bought about 6 pillows in the past 6 months and STILL haven't found one we like. They are too fat, or too thin, or too hard, or too squishy. Ugh!!! Plus, I hate buying pillows because they are so expensive. Anyway, my husband likes a soft bed and I prefer one that is a little on the firm side so the sleep number bed works better for us. We ended up putting a foam pad on it when I was pregnant with the twins because when I was on bed rest my hips killed me! We still have it on there. If you have one without the pillowtop, try adding a memory foam pad. Actually, now that I think about it we do have the pillowtop AND the pad. Good luck!
