Seeking XLARGE Glider/Recliner to Nurse Twins

Has anyone been able to find a XLarge Glider/Recliner to nurse twins in? I want to be able to use my EZ Nursing pillow in it & enjoy storytime with both boys. I can't seem to find one large enough for all of us. I've tried Babies R Us & surfed the net with no look on a chair with a cushion that is large enough for me & the boys.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all your helpful responses. I looked into Pottery Barn. It does carry a family-sized glider couch, but very expensive (well over $1000-). A little bit more than what I wanted to spend. Babies R Us carries a large glider, but not large enough to nurse growing twins on. I was lucky & found what is called, a couch and a half glider which seems perfect for my boys & I. I found it on rockingchairs.com & it is about $900- with shipping. The downside is that it won't arrive until the end of March/beginning of April. I can't wait to enjoy reading books to them & nursing them on it! Thanks for all your quick responses.

Hi J.,

What about Pottery Barn? I know they have oversized chairs that glide. I've purchased a lot of products from them over the years and have been really pleased with everything I've bought - their can be pricey, but it's well made - their delivery is easy and they stand behind their products. I wasn't happy with the changing station I bought and they replaced it within a week no questions asked. I also called them b/c some pillow covers never showed up and they sent me new ones - no questions asked. It's so hard to get good service these days so I don't mind paying a little more to know they'll take care of me when needed. Good luck!

I wish i could help on this one! sorry....

but i wanted to tell you congrats on your twins and also for nursing them! whoopee!!!! that's so exciting! If you're interested, i have a breastfeeding support grp that i lead weekly, mondays in south naperville. its 10:30-11:30, at wheatland salem church. if you're interested, look at my profile and 'my businesses' for details, or send me an email via mamasource. oh, and it's not a business, it's just a support group, free, we have a lactation consultant that donates her time as do i.

best of luck to you!!!

I am expecting twin girls in April and plan to breastfeed. I bought a glider at Walmart and it's a bigger one than the usual ones you can buy. I obviously haven't nursed the twins in there, but I'm on the bigger side and have sat in there with my EZ nursing pillow and it's comfortable.

have you tried looking at a regular furniture store for a "cuddle couch" they call it? it's bigger than a regular recliner chair but smaller than a love seat. that might work for you :)

lazy boy has a chair and a half sized recliner . . . and they have that new gallery right at 355 and boughton . . . i agree with the ability to relocate it elsewhere once you no longer need it in the boys room . . .easier to do with a recliner than a glider . . . i just googled recliner for larger people and a ton of stuff came up . . .

Maybe try the regular furniture stores instead of baby furniture stores. You could probably find a great one at La-z-Boy! If you get a neutral fabric, you could relocate it to your family room or some other place once it's no longer needed in your nursery. I know some friends of ours found a great, neutral recliner for their nursery at the Carson's outlet in Naperville & were able to take it home that day. There is also a new Macy's furniture outlet in Naperville too. Good luck & congrats on your twins!

Hi! We bought a LaZBoy for the same purpose. It's a glider. I wish I had bought a bigger one though! Mine is a bit too narrow. I had the EZ to Nurse pillow also but when the girls got a bit bigger, I just used a long body pillow since the other pillow made them too high for me to nurse them in the glider. We got the fabric in black so that we can move it to another room when we're all done with babies. Good luck!
