I am looking to organize a weekly playgroup (with some help) for moms and their children who live in the Lombard area or who are willing to come this direction for some fun and hopefully build some lasting friendships. Please let me know if anyone is interested.
I know your post is a bit old, but I am always interested in a local playgroup. Did you ever get anything together? If so, we might be interested in meeting up. I have a just-turned 5 year old, 2 year old and one on the way :) We live in Lombard.
That seems like a great idea. Even though I live in Carol Stream, it wouldnt be that far from my house as I work part time in Elk Grove Village. Have you started something already or you are still looking.

I also would love to meet some moms and kids for my son to socialize with. He just turned 1 yesterday! However, it is sometimes difficult for me to make certain trips as I work full time. I do, however, have off every other Monday and don't start work until 1:00 on Wednesdays, so if you make up a group there is a play date sometimes for one of those days, I think it would be fun. Also, I recently joined meetup.com if you would like to check it out. I am part of West Suburban Playgroup so far and there are lots of others on the site. Keep me posted on your group planning.

Depending on when you would like to meet, I may be able to come. I have a little girl who is 18 months old who LOVES to play and run around and who waves and says hi to every little cutie we pass!!
I have a daughter that is 21 mos. old & would love to socialize her a bit more as well as finding some new friends locally. We're in! :)
