Seeking Possible Childcare for Infant and Good Pediatrician

I live in Riverview and am pregnant with my first child, due March 8th. I left my job due to some health reasons and also to start working at home to see if I can stay at home with the baby while I work from home part-time too. My husband's work (in construction) has considerably slowed down lately and so with 2 months left before the baby's arrival, I'm looking to increase my work at home and may need some part-time childcare as I'm not sure how demanding the baby will be and figure I may at least get on a waiting list as a back-up just in case she's not a big sleeper and I need daycare. Any recommendations for (or against) daycares in the Riverview/Brandon area? I also am open to private childcare or nannies, but not sure what's the best option yet.

The other area I need help in is finding a good pediatrician and have heard good things about Healthpointe and now also saw on here about Pediatric Healthcare Alliance, but just want to make sure those are the favorites in the area or if there's anything else closer to Riverview? Although I don't think there's much to choose from in Riverview (yet) so I imagine Brandon is probably the closest. Thanks for any advice on either subject.

What can I do next?

hi D. My name is A. Mauller and I am a licensed family home childcare located in Riverview off Big Bend Rd. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, I know how hard it is to find good daycare. Also I recommend Healthpoint at 110 S. Parsons Ave in Brandon. I use Dr.Curtain or Dr. Champoux, they are terrific. You can look me me up on the "My Florida" web site my license number is FHC431467 and my phone number is ###-###-####

My 5 mo old is in home daycare 3 days a week. The other days I work at home with him. My 4 yr old is at Creative World Rivercrest. I love Creative World and Kids Community College. I do not recommend It's Kidz Time.

I see Dr Tappan at Pediatric Healthcare Alliance. I do not recommend Healthpoint's Bloomingdale Office, the Dr's are ok but the staff is difficult to deal with.

I'm new to the riverview area and just had my son 10 weeks ago, so I can't really help with any childcare needs, but we use Pediatrician, Dr. Heather Thole at Wee Care for Kids. It's on Big Bend in Riverview. Dr. Thole is really nice and either she or her nurse answer the after hours emergency line. My husband and I just moved here in August and we don't know anyone yet, so having someone we can call with those first time parent questions is really great.
