Seeking Pediatrician Who Practices Alternative Medicine

Dear Moms,

I recently took my 12-year old son to a local peditrician (as a new patient). We moved here from Santa Fe, NM and have not established relationships with any healthcare providers yet. Because I chose not to adhere to the traditional immunization schedule for my son, the doctor we visited is not willing to see us again.

Therefore, I am in search of a peditrician in the DFW metroplex who honors families who have make this choice and who practices alternative medicine.

Since we have no insurance, we would preferably like one who is affordable.

Thanks a million!

I go to Dr. Bain in Frisco as well, at Healthy Kids Pediatrics. She is the only pediatrician there, but she is VERY open to alternative medicine. My child is 1 and has had no immunizations. She doesn't make you get them at all. She was recommended to me by over 16 women from this site. Good luck!

A.,

Dr. Daniel Chartrand in Allen is a family practice MD. He doesn't take ins, doesn't require immunizations, and performs acupuncture. He's the real deal. www.harmonyfamilyhealth.com.

Good luck.

A., welcome to DFW!! I am a mom, RN, and childbirth Doula and would highly recommend our Pediatrician. I refer friends and clients to him continuously. He is very open minded about 'non-traditional' modalities. He always helps you make well informed decisions based on the information that is currently out there. I just don't know about his costs.

C.Daryl Curry at Methodist Hospital Dallas on Colorado. I just don't have his number right now.

Good Luck!

Dr. Cook is very well respected in Dallas:
