Seeking Pediatrician in Clearwater

We have used Dr.Deborah French since our son was born in 2005, she was recommended to me by our own Doc, who was a good friend of hers. We have always been delighted with her, the other Docs there and the staff at her practice. I've always been able to get same day appointments. I can leave messages for the nurse on simple things and they always call me back within the day. I've had to call during the night and weekend and again have always had a response within an hour. I highly recommened them.

North PInellas childrens medical is great! We see Dr. Klein and have had him for the past 6 years. They have several locations and hours 7 days a week for convenience.

Absolutely the best place ever. I have had many different doctors and specialists for my boys and by far they are the best.

What Dr you choose for your child depends on what you are looking for. I think alot depends on what style, philosophies and availability you prefer. Many Dr's are very nursing friendly, others push weaning and formula feeding ...some do not allow you to selectively vaccinate or non-vaccinate(or will kick you out) while others are more modern on the parent led decisions and approach. Some are hard to reach afterhours or on short notice, some return your calls at 3 am. Some push starting solids at 4 months, others urge waiting. Dr's are so different....

You may be nursing, therefore want a nursing friendly and educated Dr and likewise for other practices and preferences....I would get some recommendations based on what you look for in a good pediatrician and then make an initial consult appt to see if it's a good match.

Alot of people I know love Dr Vaughn on East Bay Drive in Clw. He is very open to your desires in your childs medical care, flexible hours and 'squeeze-ins', and from what I have been told he is very personable and caring. We see a Dr in St Pete (sorry!)

We use Myrtle Avenue Pediatrics and are very happy with all of the Doctor's there. They have 7 day a week office hours which is great in case your child gets sick on the weekend. The phone number is ###-###-####.

I love Pinellas Pediatrics on Fort Harrison in downtown Clearwater. They have an all female staff (not sure if that matters) but they are very friendly and helpful. You can call anytime with questions and they respond promptly and give great advice. They also have walk in hours every morning just in case you can't get an appointment.

We like Dr Avery Stigliz at Diagnostic Clinic (McMullen Booth Rd). They take almost every kind of insurance.
