Seeking Moms' Clubs/groups in Aliso Viejo or South Orange County

I'm a first time mom to a wonderful little boy who is almost seven months old. I work part time and would really like to become involved in a mom's club/group in or near the Aliso Viejo area. I don't have many friends who have kids and those that do either work full time or live far away. I'd love to find a group that is low-key and fun for both myself and my son. If anyone knows of any groups they really like, can you please let me know?

I am a member of the Mom's Club of Laguna Hills. We are a fun group of girls and have many great activities planned for each week. If you want visit our web site.

C.,
There is a website: http://www.meetup.com/

Where you go to the search item and type any type of group, city, and interest you have and you will have a bunch of groups around your area of different approaches. I am sure there is a group near you of moms that meet.

Good luck,
Susana

Along with the Mom's Clubs (there are ones in Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel and I'm sure one in Aliso Vejo)http://www.momsclub.org/join.html
there are also MOPS groups at many churches in this area.http://www.mops.org/
Also the Y is a fun community based program. Saddleback Y in Mission Viejo or the Y in Laguna Niguel.
Lots of opportunities.
Good Luck

I really love my mom's group. It's Stroller Strides, and it's in Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point. It's not just exercise, but a wonderful playgroup for kids and an excellent support system for moms. You can go as little or as often as you like, so the kids really form great bonds with the other kids. It's been a routine for my son since he was 4 months old, and he's now 2.5. The moms are amazing! They have mom's night out once per month, and an activity once per week, in addition to the hour class and play-time after. Very "low-key"...Try www.strollerstrides.com for one in your area. Best of luck. Being around great moms is such a blessing!

If you're interested in a group of great moms AND you'd like to exercise without putting your little bundle o' joy in daycare to do so, I'd recommend StrollerStrides. There is a group in most every city and we meet at parks to walk/run with the babes, stopping at various locations in the circuit to work out with exercise bands, jumpropes, do pushups, and the like. It is for the newly post-partum to the mom-of-many. I'd love to introduce you, for I go to the Aliso Viejo and Laguna Hills locations primarily. strollerstrides dot com has oodles of info for ya!

hi C. -- look into meetup.com and put in your zip code -- i moved here from illinois and knew no one, 2 years later, i can honestly say almost every friend i've made has been through a mom's meetup.com group -- there are many groups for many different interests but there are several moms groups.
hope that helps.
