I would rather go w/an in-home instead of a facitily as well!

Take a look at this link: http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child....

It's a link to the State of Texas website so you may search all daycares in your area, facitily and in-home. PLEASE read ALL reviews (good and bad). The State is very strict w/the smallest things (which is good!), so make sure you read the violations. Also interview several caregivers before making a final decision. Make sure you ask for their references, then call and interview them! Good luck!

Hi M.. I just started my own in-home daycare and I keep a very low ratio. 1:5. I have one assistant who is a very good friend of mine. I had a home daycare about 12 years ago until I decided to become a nanny. I was with one family for 9 years and recently nannied for a family with one baby. They couldn't afford me and asked if I would consider opening up my own in home daycare. They really want me to keep their son. So that is what I am doing now. I am in the process of getting licensed. I LOVE children. I taught pre-school for 2 years as well and am CPR and first aid certified. I have taken 2 parenting classes, child development classes and child psych classes. Children are my passion. I want my daycare to be different from everyone elses. That is why I am keeping a low ratio so evey child will get individual one on one time. My home is very clean, smoke free and organized. I live in a quiet wonderful neighborhood near Park/Shiloh in plano. I have 2 wonderful children, 6 and 14. My 14 yr old daughter had been working with children every summer for the last 3 years. She is great with them. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you and good luck!

I just posted a similar request. I live very close to your friend. I will need a part time nanny or daycare. You may want to monitor my posting as well "T. A." Is your part time by any chance?
