My daughther will be turning four in August. I have considered having her party in our backyard or at Bounce Zone. Most of the children who will be invited are from her preschool who I don't know well nor their parents. I'm looking for other ideas on where we could have a party.

What can I do next?

We attended a birthday party for a 4year old at Recreation Unlimited in Noblesville. They sell the back yard playgrounds and they have their displays set up in their showroom and allow you to rent it out and have parties. They have a small room with a few tables and kid chairs to do the cake as well. My 3 1/2 and 2 year old loved it, it was like being at the park. They also have some small houses the kids can play in and basketball goals to shot at. Hope you find a good place!

You can throw her a princess birthday party. My sister in law is doing that for her 3 yrs old daughter in August 1st. Rent a princess castle balloon bouncer, dress her up like a princess, send out princess invitation, with a great princess cake and accessories. She would love it, you too will enjoy your little princess turning 4!
Good luck.

I have been to a birthday party at the bounce zone, and bounce planet and i like bounce planet better because it is bigger. My daughter's birthday is in Aug as well and it gets so hot outside. My thoughts for you is to have it at bounce zone or bounce planet, they do everything for you and it won't be as stressful having people in your house, and do you really want to be sweating outside with people you are meeting for the first time, since these are parents from your preschool, save the backyard birthday for people you know better, just my advice from someone who has been there and have planned several little girls birthday parties.

My son's birthday is in August also. I LOVE kid's parties, but am so against spending hundreds to have one. One of my kids all time favorites (12,7,4) is a water balloon "bean-bag" toss. I took a pc. of plywood, painted Nemo on it, and cut out holes for the air bubbles. We filled up 3 water balloons per kid. The idea was to get the waterballoon through the hole without breaking it. They had a blast! We have 13 kids just in our immediate family that are 1-13! Chucky Cheese is not always a financial option. They also love the pinatas that you can buy from Walmart in character shapes. They are perfect to hang from the backyard tree.
