I have just moved back from Utah and am pregnant. I don't have a doctor here, and I need to find one quickly! I don't have maternity insurance, so I also need a doctor who is a medicare provider. If anyone knows of a good doctor out there, please let me know!

I absolutely LOVE my OBGYN. Dr. Kurt Froehlich. He's in Montgomery, close to Bethesda North Hospital. He is great - he handled both of my pregnancies and deliveries personally. He's the only Dr in the practice and I love that I only have to see him rather than 10 drs. As far as Medicare I don't know - I know he takes most insurances. His number is ###-###-#### - he is the best Dr! He was recommended to me by my cousin who was recommended by her sister-in-law...he came to me highly recommended and I pass on the recommendation!

Congrads on the new babe! I went to Healthy Beginnings and they were great! They are all over Cincy and take women with medicaid or no insurance. I saw a midwife for my two pregnancies and the doc delivered. Look in the phone book or online for one close to you. Good luck!

I second the mention to Dr. Kurt Froehlich in Montgomery. He has a wonderful practice and with him there are no dumb questions. He listens to every concern and is wonderful. Good luck with the new baby and your relocation!

Hi S.,

I absolutely love my OBGYN. She is great. Her name is Dr. Tara Knipper. She is with Group Health Associates. She works out of the Clifton Office. Group Health is pretty big so I don't know if they are a medicare provider or not. You can always call and check it out. ###-###-####

Dr. Knipper is great. She was very suppotive and I really had a good delivery. She and I clicked right from the start.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.

I don't know if you are still looking or not, but when I was pregnant, and even now, seven months later, I go to the Faculty Medical Center and OB/GYN of Good Samaritan hospital. They accept all forms of Medicare, and also give care based on your ability to pay. They are highly professional, and for the most part have a nice staff.
Like I said, I know this post is old, so I don't know if you're still looking, but if you are.. here's a thought!
