Seeking Excellent Child Psychologist

Does anyone know of a good child psychologist that can help my son (and us) deal with his anxiety? He's only 7 and I'd really like someone good with younger children. He has SPD and the anxiety is a part of it however lately it seems to be exacerbating for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know of anyone I SHOULD'NT see please inform me also :) thanks!

I HIGHLY recommend Dr Gerard Boutin. He is a child psychologist that comes to us highly recommended as well. His office is on Seminole Blvd. Easy to get to and he has very extended office hours...like 6am - 9pm and will see patients in the early mornings on weekends too. My stepson has been going to him since he was about 6 or 7 and he's almost 13. He loves him and is always happy to see him. He's very personable and professional, very. He has kept our son on track and headed in the right direction despite all of his anxiety, stress and overall turmoil he experiences in his environment.

I couldn't recommend him more....

I have anxiety issues and i see a psychiatrist who specializes in children. Her name is Mina Oza and she is on Waters ave. There is also a psychologist on staff named Peter Dell. My husband and I visited him a few times and I really like him.

Dr. Wanda Sanz is great.

Betsy Wolcott, ###-###-#### (at least, that was her number when we say her). She had (maybe still does) an office on the east side of Dale Mabry on Busch Blvd. Empathetic with both the patient and the family, and efficient - her goal is to get the patient up and functioning, not to take years of therapy.

Also a good therapist, though I think she specializes more in older children, Tsila Kirsch, Tampa Bay Psychiatric Services. She's off of Bruce B. Downs, on Amberly.

Either lady is an excellent practictioner. Good luck to you and your son. And kudos to you for getting on it and not waiting for him to 'outgrow' or 'overcome' this on his own.
