I JUST moved here and need a ROOT CANAL and dont KNOW anyone or ANY of the Dentists in the area....I went to one here and I DONT LIKE HER....she is sending me to someone else for the work..and I thought SHE was the BEST! She has over charged me and cost me a lot...My husband too. Please any advise for a Regular Physican and a Dentist...in the area here (Weston) Glades Parkway...San Messina....area.

The Endodontist (for the root canal) is in the same building. Very painless. I had 2 done there.
I can recommend the BEST dentist ever!! My family and I have been going to him for 8 years and love him more each year. We have collectively had cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns (his best work) and tooth implants.

We have a fantastic dentist in Weston! His name is Dr. Craig Friedman. He and his staff are absolutely wonderful. So nice and personable. We have been going to him for about 5-6 years, we refer all our friends to him, and they seem quite happy.
As for the kids, I thoroughly like Dr. Alicia Salland as a Pediatrician, also in Weston. She shares and office with Dr. Rosa Montes-Fernandez, also very nice. As for a physician for an adult...can't really help you there, I haven't found any that I am particularly fond of yet.

I have an excellent Dentist that I done implants with and he is awesome! Really! I actually paid out of my pocket when my insurance did not cover me thereb because I felt so confident in his work.
His name is Dr Jesus Baretto and he is in the Publix Plaza on Miramar Parkway just after you get off the I75 exit to Miramar East . You could also come all the way down on Weston Road, which turns into Dykes Road and turn left onto Miramar Pkway, over the i75 and past 2 stop lights - on the left.

My husband has gone to Dr. Craig Friedman in Weston and likes him a great deal. I tried one closer to my home in West Pembroke Pines that a neighbor recommended and wasn't thrilled.
When I had my root canal done awhile back I was sent to an endodontist who was a specialist instead of the dentist doing the actual root canal. After the root canal was done I went back to the dentist for the crown. That may be a standard practice for a dentist to send you to someone else.

Welcome! I know it's very difficult moving somewhere and not having anyone of confidence for advice. We've moved a lot too.
To your dentist question, depending on your insurance, I recommend Dr. Stephen Pyle. He's located (at least was) in the Publix plaza on Saddle Club and Indian Trace, nearer to the Blockbuster. He's very thorough and gentle.
And regarding your daughter...I moved to and then back again to Weston when my 16 year old and my 12 year old were in 5th grade, respectively. The battles are unfortunately part of her frustration of the move. It'll be hard, but let her help you choose the tutor (that way she feels like she has some control over one situation) and hopefully the battles will lessen.
Depending on the school and your daughter (if she likes the math teacher, that is), you might be able to arrange afterschool tutoring with the teacher directly. Or if you prefer, I understand Kumon has a good Math program (that's located on 160th street--where Pizza Hut, the Columbian bakery and Weston 8 are located). If that doesn't work, the YMCA has a Child Advocate program that might be able to recommend a tutor. I realize these are not specific tutor names, but I hope it'll help you a little.

I went to Dr. Kotch today and he is GREAT! The best dentist I have been to. I highly recommend him for both adults and children.
