I have a son who is 19 months old, and I'm pregnant with my second, due in 5 weeks. I will be relocating to Northwest Greensboro, near Northwest High School in August and obviously need to find a new pediatrician. I currently love my sons pediatrician. She is very loving to him during his visits, kisses his feet, plays with him, and takes time to listen to my questions, cares, and concerns. I get in very easily and never wait long to see her. I'd like to find someone up there that is similar to her (I do not have a preference for gender, I'll see male or female). Does anyone have any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone! I will let you know how it goes when I relocate up there. I will be up there about the first week of August and will want to establish a pediatrician right away.

We moved into the area about 5 years ago and ended up going to the Family Practice of Summerfield. I love Dr. Burchette. He has seen my son since the day he was born, even in the hospital. He does take time to see whats going on. I have never felt rushed or anything like that and he is very friendly. Just like any other practice they are very busy but they have always gotten us in. I have been very pleased with them. They are a family practice. I don't know much about the actual ped's in Greensboro.

Good Luck on your move Mrs.E......I have been a Registered Medical Assistant for the past 17 1/2 years and have primarily work in Family Practice. A little over a year ago I worked at Forsyth Pediatrics, they have several locations I think there are three in Winston-Salem one in Oak Ridge and one in Kernersville. I've worked in Oak Ridge and Kernersville. The Drs. and FNP's (Family Nurse Practitioners) are wonderful. All of them were very attentive, not like alot of doctors who are in it now for numbers and money. They genuwinely care for the kids...Dr.Kirk Walker, Dr. Mike Albright, Dr. Cathi Soldato, Dr. Laurie McDonald,Tammy Shimmfessel-PNP, Bill Ricketts-PNP, Susan Grainger-PNP and Heather Herring-PNP. At the time I worked there I live near the borderline of Jamestown and High point and it took me all of maybe 25 minutes to get to Kernersville and 30 minutes to get to Oak Ridge. So if you have not found a Pediatrician yet ,you can always schedule an appointment to tour the facility. I'm sure you'll be happy with either one of the providers. Good Luck to you and You and your family have a blessed Memorial Day....

My children who are 3 and 8 months go to Wendover Pediatrics and I love them! There are several doctors there, but we almost always get to see their primary physician, Van Winkle, even at last minute appointments. I have seen a lot, but not all of the doctors, and I have been very happy with all of them. Hope that helps!

I have two children, a 2 yr old and a 5 week old, I live in Summerfield and use Northwest pediactrics on horsepen creek road. We relocated here in October, so I have not been going very long, but so far I have been pleased.

Good Luck, Amber
