I've never personally used him, but Fred Cavaiani writes a column for the paper I work for on a bi-weekly basis, and he is a marriage counselor. He seems to give pretty good advice, not sure about the insurance thing though, but you can contact him and find out.

Have you tried the Beaumont Hospital Physiscian Referral Line? Beaumont has a ton of wonderful doctors and therapists that are affiliated with them. I work for the Troy hospital and cannot speak highly enough of all the doctors I have encountered with my job so far. The number can be found on the Beaumont website.

Check out Perspectives of Troy. They have marriage counselors there I've heard great things about. ###-###-####. They're Christian counselors, but if you don't want to incorporate your faith into it, it's no problem. They're at Big Beaver & Crooks area.

They don't accept insurance for marriage counseling.
