Hi Mommies!

My 3 year old son has had a bad reaction to some antibiotics he was on a week ago last Wednesday. It took 3 Doctors just to figure out what had caused the reaction and now 1 week later, he still has these bumps, welts and just really bad irritations all over his body. Including his torso, back, stomach and neck! My baby has such beautiful skin and I am so upset over this because I don't want him to have any scars from this! We do go back to the Allergy Doctor tomorrow, but I just don't see it improving like it should. Has any of you MOMS out there ever experience such an allergy reaction? Did the skin ever go back to the way it way? I am just so devasted that this will leave permanent skin marks all over!!

Thanks Mommies!!

Gladys- I do not know a pedi derm, but I wanted to try to reassure you about his skin and scars--- it takes alot for a childs skin to stay scarred. It constantly remodels itself (unlike our adult skin) and will be smooth again. If you do see some scarring, though, you can apply Mederma. It is a post-surgical scar reduction gel that you can purchase at any pharmacy. Good Luck! T.

Hi Gladys,

I can relate to your frustrations with allergic reactions. I have 2 girls and my oldest is very fair, thin skinned, and very sensitive. I put Vaseline intesive care on her once and she ended up with welts that got staff infected and left black spots on her legs. This was about 2 yrs ago. I had a friend of mine share a product line called Arbonne and they have a skin conditioning oil, baby oil, and rejuvenating cream that is awesome at clearing up skin irrations and healing scars. I have never had such awesome results. That was a year ago and not my friend, Meldoy, and I do Arbonne as a business. I would love to meet with you for 30 minutes and share some more and can bring you a baby line to sample for a few days if you would like. I live in Allen. I highly recommend reading your labels and staying away from products with chemical fragrances/colors and mineral oil. These ingredients will cause more irritation for your son. If you have any questions, you can email me at ____@____.com you give me your email I can send you more information for researching your products and a letter from a pediatrician.

Hi-
My daughter just went through something similar to this. It started as a bad diaper rash then turned into a rash all over her body. Her beautiful face was bright red and so dry it was bleeding. She is only 4 months old, so we were able to quickly determine that she is allergic to milk and Soy. You probably would have noticed if this was the case with your 3 year old by now. I just want to reassure you that the reaction will go away and his beautiful complexion will return. We have been using Dr. Smith's diaper cream and baby Aveeno. I highly recommend both. Give him oat meal baths to help sooth some of the redness, too. I hope it gets better soon!

Hi Gladys. Wow, I know that it is scary to see your precious baby like that, but I want to reassure you that I've been through the same thing with my litle boy. This past winter he kept getting sinus infections because of the allergies he has. Every time, the dr. would prescribe antiobiotics. They would clear it up, but as soon as he stopped taking them, it seemed like he would get sick again. It was horrible. As a result of the antiobiotics, he had the worst, scariest looking rash I've ever seen! It was so sad. He screamed every time I tried to wipe him, or sit him in the bathtub. Like you son's rash, his also spread over his body. I tried ever lotion, diaper cream...everything that the dr. and pharmacist recommended, I tried. Then my friend suggested trying Arbonne's Baby Care skincare products. I started using only the hair and body wash, lotion and herbal diaper rash cream on him. It worked so well for us! It cleared up the rash in a couple of days, and I was able to prevent him from getting another rash by using it consistantly. And, now there are absolutely no scars or marks on his skin at all. If you're interested in taking a closer look at this awesome baby skincare line, you can check out mandyolsen.myarbonne.com. Once I started using these products for myself and my son, I was hooked and decided to become a wholesale buyer. Hope this helps you and your son! I understand what you've been through to have him. We went through a similar situation to try to have our son, and feel so lucky to have him!
Take care, M.
