Seeking a Church In/around Haltom City, Watauga, N. Richland Hills Area

My husband and I just moved to the area, and we would like to find a new home church. We like the contemporary/praise band worship services. We also want a church with a great kids program (we have a 22 month old and 1 on the way), and a Sunday school class/group for younger adults (25-35 range, we're 25 and 27). We both grew up the United Methodist church, but mostly want a church that feels like home. It's so hard to go "church hunting", so any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks for the responses! We tried Center Point Church, which my MIL wanted to try and we liked it. We're going to try it for a few more weeks, and maybe think about visiting some others in the area just to see where we feel most comfortable and also a church that matches our beliefs and style of worship. Thanks so much!

Hi B.! Please check out my church, First Methodist of Hurst (fumchurst.org). We have a contemporary service on Saturdays at 6pm with a praise band, and traditional services on Sundays. We have a great kids' program, including Testament Travels Sunday School for older kids, very loving and dedicated nursery workers, Vacation Bible School, a music and arts camp (in the summer), a Caring Christian Mothers group for moms of kids under 5 (we do mommy-and-me activities with the kids and moms-only activities while the kids are in the nursery), Kindermusik classes, and a day school/mom's day out program. We also have several classes for younger adults (details on the website). I hope you decide to check us out!

I'd like to invite you to Harvest church. We are on 377 at Basswood/Hightower. It is a big church and lots of people are turned off at first by that but there are several sunday school classes (actually we call them ABF - adult bible fellowship classes) for your age group. Once you get involved with a class it really feels like family. There is also a ton for the kids at Harvest. Well, once they are just a little older but even the kids in the nursery area love going. We do have a praise team/band too. Our ABF time starts at 9am and church service at 10:30. I'm a part of the The Real Deal ABF class and we'd love to have you come and visit today or any other Sunday. Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you!! It is tough "Church hunting" so I hope you find a place to fit soon!

Hi B.,
My husband, daughter (17 months), and I go to Northwood. It's on the corner of Rufe Snow and North Tarrant. We love it! It's a large church with lots of contemporary praise worship, an awesome leadership staff, and lots of opportunities for children and adults. As an adult, you would want to join a Team, which are small groups that meet in place of Sunday school classes. My husband and I are between 25 and 30, and there are lots of others in that age range at the church, as well as all age ranges, really. They have a website that you can look at to see more if you would like! www.northwoodchurch.org

Hi B.. I would like to tell you about Abundant Life Family Church in Watuaga Texas. It is on 377 (Denton Hgwy) between Basswwood and Western Center (MId-Cities). It is a smaller non-denominational church. It does have the contemporary style praise and worship. When I was looking for a church home, it was the first and last of my chirch hunting.
I have been attending for close to 3 yrs. I will be soon leaving, and I find myself being the most sad about leaving my church. Check out the website. abundantchurch.org.
It is definily a chruch God attends. I know that God will answer your prayers and point you where you need to be.
My prayers and blessings to you and your family. R.
