Need a New Curch Home in Keller with Lots of Babies

MY Husband and I have been looking for a Church for a while we thought we found a nice small one here in town but we are the only ones there expecting and there are no babies only older kids. Also we are looking for a tradidional chuch,an Organ or Piano, the hyms we grew up with and preferably and "Sunday best" dress code. Our old chuch (back in CA) was Presbyterian, UCC and United Methodist rolled into one and we loved it there but any religion that is basic "Christian" will work for us. We prefer smaller churches which are hard to come by in Texas but we do want a church with young children & babies so we can raise our son with others his age. Any suggestions are welcome - THANKS!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you so much for the wonderful responses - I've got a Church lined up for this Sunday and if It doesn't end up being what we wanted I've got several more I would love to try. Thank you so much for being so helpful and understanding of my needs for our spiritual journey.

Messiah Lutheran on Whitley Road in Keller is a very traditional, consvervative congregation that also has a very good school for kids starting at age 2 and continuing through elementary school and high school -- so LOTS of kids. Services are at 8:00 and 10:45 every Sunday, with Sunday School at 9:45.

MY MISTAKE!!!!

My other suggestion was Not traditional and not Sunday Best...

What about Colleyville Presbyterian?

Some people I love go there.

Please look into Alliance United Methodist Church. It's located on Park Vista Bvd. between N. Tarrant and Basswood. It's a "neighborhood church" in that it is not as large as many of the other churches in the area, but we have members from Keller,Azle, Saginaw and lots of other cities. We average about 325 over 3 worship services. The 8:30 and 11 are traditional; the 9:45 is contemporary. The dress code I would call "flexible". Some dress up and some are casual. Lots of kids from babies to teens. We are gearing up to start a Mother's Day out program in the near future so that may be something you'd like to keep in mind. Their website is www.allianceumc.net

Check out Argyle United Methodist Church. Lots of young couples as well as older folks. Our Pastor is about 35, has a 3 year old and a 6 month old. Our youth Minister has a 6 month old and our music has a 2 year old and is "expecting". We have a great childerns education leader.
You won't be impressed with our building at the moment but the people are wonderful. We will be moving into a new building that is on hwy 377 in about 3 or 4 months.

What religion are you looking for? We attend SEAS in Keller on Willis, (its Catholic). There are a ton of churches on Willis, you may want to take a drive over there and see what one fits your families needs. I hope you find the one. :-)

M. I found this church newlife fellowship on 377 in Keller and I fell in love with it. It is non denominational and it is small and we have a wonderful childrens department and great nursery ladies. our service starts at 10:15a and you can come at 9:30a for a small snack before church. Pastor Brandon and his wife Terica are really nice. Unfortunately it is right next to the drive thru liquor store but don't let that discourage you come and see us and look me up I'm L..

I second the recommendation for Fellowship of the Parks. They do have a great children's program on Sundays as well as a great preschool during the week. My oldest son went there 2 years (he's now in kindergarten) and now my second son is enrolled this year and again for next year. The messages are good and the music is fantastic. However, if you're wanting a smaller church, it may not be what you're looking for. We started there about 6 years ago, and it's gotten a little too big for us (now it's 4 services:). My husband and I are very shy and non-agressive when it comes to meeting people, so bigger churches are a bit uncomfortable for us. It's very easy to become invisible (if that makes any sense :).

I good home church can be hard to find, so I feel your pain. We were on the hunt for 18 mo before we found Light of the World on Old Denton Road (just north of N Tarrant). We are a smaller church, maybe 350 members and we have lots of children. From babes up to High Schoolers. We love the small church atmosphere, but enjoy the fact that there is structure for the childrens programs. We have a great Pastor and staff. As part of the Praise Team, I can tell you we have a good time as well.

First, I'd like to say that I am a "small church girl". I grew up in and loved being in a small church. That being said we are now going to Harvest Church on 377. It is a lot bigger than I would have picked but we decided to try it since it is near our home and we wanted there to be lots of kids and kid programs in the church. There are lots of kids and they do a ton of things for kids. Just next week we are having Children's Day where the kids (grades K-5 I believe) actually lead the music portion of church on Sunday morning. The kids younger than that are brought into the service by the teachers for a few songs too. After the service they are going to sell hotdog lunches for $2 and have kite flying, bounce houses and other things for the kids. I'd love to meet you if you'd like to come and want someone to sit with or just show you around. All this being said it is a bigger church and unless you get involved with an Adult Bible Fellowship class (we call it ABF but it is Sunday School) it is hard to feel apart of a church like this. Anyway, we'd love to have you. Our class meets at 9 or a little after since we almost all have children between the ages of like 8 months and 3rd grade and so we get them dropped off about nine and then get to our class. If you'd like to try it out let me know.
