Hi moms!

I just started making my own cards. I am trying to begin making my Christmas cards but I am having a difficult time finding white stamping ink that actually shows up on dark paper (red and green). I am also having a difficult time finding subtle glitter for snowy scene purposes. Can anyone recommend their favorite brands that actually work???

Thanks mommas!
J.

I love Stampin' Up! products. They come in all colors and I use their white craft ink on dark paper without problem.

My friend Rasa is an independent consultant for them:

Good luck & happy stamping! I'm impressed you've started working on your Christmas cards already!

You might try white staz-on ink. I don't use white a lot, but I think it does an okay job. As far as glitter, my suggestion would be to look for some ultra fine art glitter. I'm not sure where you live, but there is a stamp store in Lockport that carrys art glitter and there is a scrapbooking store in Darien (75th and Lemont) that carrys art glitter..... they may also carry some at Archiver's if you live near one of those (and you could always call and see if they have the color that you want)

I'm a big fan of chalk myself because it's so flexble. You can use it with stencils to get shapes, use it to shade stamping that doesn't come out exactly the way you want, use it to distress edges, whatever. I'm not a big user of glitter on my scrapbook pages because of the mess, but when I was a kid we used to use a product called "angel dust" in crafts, and that produced a very subtle glittery effect. Good luck!
