I am a SAHM in Altoona, Iowa, a subub of Des Moines. I am VERY interested in working from home....my family is very tight fnancially and anything would help. I already do in home daycare, but that just covers my student loans and I don't want to take on any more children. Any othe ideas...I heard of a local person who was like a personal assistant to a very wealthy local woman...she did scheduling, etc for her. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I also just started working from home, NOT with an MLM company. I have a 2 yr old and a soon to be 6month old and didn't want to have to put them in daycare to go back to work, but at the same time we weren't really making it on one income! I would love to share with you what I found and get you all the info that I found. It isdefinately is a home business- u didn't say whether this was something you would consider or not. I am able to work around my children, it doesn't matter if there is backround noise, I simply explain that I am a WAHM and that has never been a problem.
You did mention you already do child care, so you would need to find something that works with that, right? i know I have also been offered positions with wealthy local people, in helping them organize, update profiles on the computer and teach them how do do computer things. How are you in that area? Feel free to msg me if u think I can help you!

There are legitimate companies that do this. Do a google search-I did one for my neighbor and came up with quite a bit of info. However most of these companies were customer service oriented and would probably be difficult to do while running a daycare. They have strict standards for your "home" office. Good luck.

This post will get you a nice run of offers to join MLM's. Be careful if you choose that because most if the time it involves selling, recruiting, investing. If you arevery good at sales and recruiting maybe it is a fit for you.

Working at home is a job, takes discipline and focus. Many companies who hire people to work from hom specify "Quiet" space because no one wants a scheduler making calls with barking dogs, loud children in the background.

What are some things that YOU are good at and you like to do? if you are crafty, make and sell things at small craft festivals, etc. if you are good at data entry, you could do this at night.... check with temporary companies to get some options as well.

Good luck to you.
