Preschool/ Infant Daycare
Is there a preschool program out there that offers 2 full time days? I've found most are 2-3 days a week for am or pm hours only. Or just 5 full days or 5 half days that cost up to $11,ooo annually. My son is a very active 3.5 yr old who needs some structure and learning tools. I work 2 full days Thursday and Friday and would love him to be in an actual preschool those two days. We live in Lynnwood & work in Kirkland. Expecting baby #2 in September and need childcare for just those two day's as well. Most daycares only except full time infants. Anyone else think finding good childcare frustrating? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check out Heritage Christian School in Bothell. They are a private school that goes preschool to 9th grade. In the past, preschool was 1/2 days 2-3 times a week, however, this fall they are offering 2,3,4, and 5 full day preschool options... www.hcabothell.org. My oldest daughter went for two years of preschool and will be starting kindergarten there this fall (and my 3 year old daughter is starting preschool). We have been very happy with the school.

My kids go to Northlake Montessori in Bothell (next to the Yakima Fruit Stand). My two kids (ages 5 and 2) go only full days on M-T-W. Their number is ###-###-####. They take infants all the way up to Kindergarten and after school care. We really love it there.
Good luck! C.

We were just starting to have this discussion over on CityMommy Seattle! I need to start doing research on preschools as well, its crazy how frustrating it is!
Luckily, there are 100's of daycares in the area, it's just finding the right one!

When i was working very part time, i used a different approach. I used the classified at UW to find a babysitter/nanny who could match my schedule. The flexibility of dealing with an individual made it possible when daycares couldn't (and weren't accepting my infant anyway because they were full).
I recognize that this does not address your son's need for structure, but it could be a solution for you. Particularly, it could help with the fact that you need to find this solution for both a 4 year old and an infant.
You could combine this with something like regular trips to a library for story time, or participation in a class with your son - maybe swimming or tumbling classes. These things could happen during the nanny's time, or on your time.
Either way, good luck!
