I have been looking at preschools to help ready my daughter for shcool. She needs interaction with other kids right now. I am looking for a cost efficiant but educational preschool in HEB area. I preffer Bedford since that is the town I live in. I have visited Kindercare in Bedford and was not impressed with that particular facility. It was a little more chaotic than structured. I had heard that Primrose schools were nice. Any information would help.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks Everyone for all the information!
I had done some calling around and viewed a few places. Right now Primrose was the highest priced one in my area. I am concidering the Children's Center at Bear Valley Community Church as Dana had mentioned. I am also looking in other areas outside of Bedford now too.

You may want to try St.Timothy Presbyterian MDO on Forrest Ridge, they have an excellent pre-school program and they offer two or four day a week care. I highly reccomend them-my children(5,2&10mos.) absolutely love it.

Hey A.,

I am a former teacher now doing lisenced child care from my home in keller (depending on where you are located in bedford it may or may not be to far from you). As a former teacher I applaud you seeking out ways to prepare your daughter for school, good for you and thank you!!! As for a good program to get her into the good ones aren't cheap. Primrose schools are wonderful but not cheap!!! Before teaching third grade I worked in the three's and fours age group room for the primrose school in bedford (located at cheeksparger and central). I have always heard wonderful things about the children't courtyard as well but again i think they cost quite a bit more than kindercare and some other programs. good luck to you in your search, honestly i think the most important thing for your daughter's age is to be more (like you mentioned) socialized with other children her age so that when she begins school she'll be ready.

if you are at all interested in learning more about the child care i offer from my home simply send me an email to the address bellow and i will attach to you my resume and more info about my childcare.

best wishes and god bless,
C. White

I recommend the Children's Center at Bear Valley Community Church. Their hours are mon. tues. thurs. 9-2. Their program is small (4 classes) and pretty structured. They have "table time" which is one on one time with the teacher and then they have center time, spanish, creative movement, music and outside (playground) time. I know the three year old teacher personally and she is great! I love her. My daughter is going to be in her class next year. They are techically in Colleyville but they are just a mile from Hurst.

I can't say enough nice things about this program! If you are interest their number is ###-###-#### x111. No one is there because they are closed during the summer but they check their messages everyday!

Hope this helps!

A.: I am a foster mom and have used Primrose of Bedford (Central & Cheeks-sparger) before and they are very good. They are kind of pricey. It cost $330 a week full time for two children (ages 3, 4) but I think they offer a less expensive option for half-day care. We had full time. They are a really good program and we felt good about putting the foster girls in there. Their facility is great, their teachers are excellent and everything was clean, structured, organized. I would recommend them. Good luck

Hi A.. I, too, can applaud the Primrose School program. My 3 year old twins attend the Hall-Johnson location (transferred to this location Halloween 2005). They are competitively priced with the area's better day cares and Montesouri schools. Remember that you get what you pay for. Good luck!

We are considering preschool as well (2 or 3 days a week) as I just lost my one nanny who was doing 3 days a week for us. My twins are 21 months. Anyway - I've checked out several preschools and we are also considering Primrose. I visited the Southlake school on Davis Blvd yesterday and the facilitiy is nice and their balanced philosophy sets well with me. I have two friends who have their children enrolled in two separate Primrose locations and love it so we are seriously considering it for ours. I'd recommend you tour the Bedford facility and see how you like it and the staff there.
