I am only 16 weeks, but showing like i did when i was 6 months preggo with my first! For the past week i've been putting off buying a pregnancy pillow. We currently have like 7 pillows (2 of them body pillows) on the bed now that just isnt cutting it. I wake up in the night to achy hips and knees like i've been sleeping on concrete. The best relief is putting one leg up on my hubby to relieve the pain. He wont stay in one place all night though lol.
I heard there are a few different kinds of preg pillows..which one did you love/hate?

What can I do next?

I had the hip pain too! It would wake me in the middle of the night all the time. I just got a really big body pillow and put it between my legs. Also instead of proping your leg on your husband, try putting it on the big pillow, kind of making an h with your legs...does that make sense? lol Also, with the second pregnancy you do show a lot sooner than the first. A nurse told me its because all the muscles that held the first baby up so tight are more relaxed by the second child. contentmommy.com

I used the wedge the first time, but it flattened out fast. The total body pillow by boppy was great for a month or so, but then just got awkward and uncomfortable. It ws a waste of sixty bucks! For me.....I'm not going to buy any special pillows this time, just surround myself with firm pillows. I, like you, find my hubby is the most comfortable...so think about something that firm. Maybe a couch cushion?

HI!
I have a two month old now but while I was pregnant and having a hard time sleeping as soon as 10 weeks with ligament pains I finally broke down and bought the Boppy Total Body Pillow which goes for about $55 or so depending where you buy it. I bought mine at Babies R US but I've seen it at Target too! I couldn't live without it since the first day I slept on it. It's bulky BUT not nearly as bulky as some of the other pillows on the market. You can wash it. My husband loved it to and would cuddle up on it. Now we use it for the baby to sleep on because he has bad acid reflux. It's an awesome pillow!! Hope this helps. :)

I used a $12 wedge from Babiesrus. It took a beating, but it worked well.
