Hi moms,

My daughter will be turning 4 in the summer and I am wondering if any of you know of any good preschool programs to start her in the fall. I am aiming towards a church preschool program but if there are any others you recommend, I'm willing to try:)

Thanks a bunch:)

What can I do next?

You will love Pantego Christian Academy. All of my babies started there and attend there. My last one is currently in pre-k. It is located at 2204 West Park Row in Arlington. You can check out their website as well http://www.pantego.com/

If you're interested in more info and have questions, please send me a message. We want our children to be taught the same things at school that we're teaching at home. They definitely reinforce growing, learning and God's word. The elementary program is Fabulous!

Most of all pray about where you want your "precious cargo" to be because they will be wherever you choose for a large part of the day.

Hi, my daughter is in Pantego Christian Academy in Mansfiled. She has been to preschool there for 2 yrs. When she was four and now at 5. We'll be attending Kindergarden there next year as well. It is fabulous! Just go to www.pantego.com and click and look around. There are two campuses....the one in Arlington is larger but the one in Mansfield is closer to us. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about the school. I hope you find what you're look for! God bless.

Walnut Creek Private School in Mansfield is wonderful! It is christian based. Both of my boys went there. My oldest went there for two years of pre-k and also went for kindergarten. My youngest went for one year of pre-k. It is advanced academically. I feel like it gave them a very solid foundation for their education, and they had a fabulous time as well. One thing that I was very impressed with was the low turnover rate of teachers. My children are 6 years apart in age, and the same teachers were still there when my youngest went there that were there when my oldest was there (and much longer). The school goes through 4th or 5th grade depending on enrollment numbers. We would have kept our boys there except that Mansfield public schools are decent. Good luck with your decision!

First Baptist Mansfield, Walnut Ridge in Mansfield, and First Methodist Church Mansfield all have pretty good preschools. Not sure of the cost or times but you call them or look them up online.

Sublett Road Baptist Church in South Arlington at Kelly Elliott and Sublett was a great pre-K for my grand daughter. They more than prepared her for kindergarten and she still sings the songs she learned that year. The staff is great, too.

My daughter went through First United Methodist of Mansfield's First Faith Program. Betsy Peak is the director. They are accrediated through NAEYC. For 4 yr olds there is a 2 day, 3 day or 5 day program. We LOVED the program.

My son could not get into First Faith so I enrolled him in Walnut Ridge Ridge Kids programs. This is his second year and I love it as much as First Faith. The 4 yr old program is 3 days Tues, Wed, Thursday. I LOVE their program day offerings. They don't have school on Mondays and Fridays so you don't end up paying for all the long weekend holidays. Debbie Beckam is the director at Ridge Kids.

We LOVE both--Good luck. Email me if you would like any more info.

If you try or visit the following and are still not satisfied, I recommend you cantact the Child Care Resource and REferral service for our area.
Very helpful and they do all the search for you based on what you want in your area. They can evaluate curriculum if you want, price, activities, etc.
Here is a link to our areas R&R.
They were helpful for me when I needed some after school arrangements for my older son.

I am not sure if this would be convenient for you because it is located on the corner of Green Oaks/Kelly Elliott. It is "All Saints Lutheran Childrens Learning Center" My two year old son started this past Fall and he loves school and is always excited to go in the mornings. They have a great educational program along with chapel and P.E. My son has learned so much, I could not have asked for anything more. The biggest bonus is that the teachers are so loving, caring, and nurturing. A lot of teachers from Arlington/Mansfield I.S.D. children go there. Best of luck!

First United Methodist Church in Arlington has a great program called ECYC. The teachers are great and the Director is wonderful. They have a 5 day program, 3 day program and a 2 day program. This is the last year my son will be there because he's going to kindergarten. The pre-k program has definitely prepared him and we feel we've gotten our money's worth.

First Methodist Mansfield has a good program as does Primrose of Walnut Creek. Our kids attend the Primrose in Grand Peninsula which is owned by the same person as the one at Walnut Creek. Our daughter is in Kindergarten this year and she is doing great. She learned so much last year, that she hit the ground running. The Primrose schools also have 2 Pre-K classes - one for the younger 4's and one for the older 4's (which I love since my son will be 4 in July and our daughter's birthday was in Feb. He is no where near the point that she was when she started Pre-K, so a class for kids that just turned 4 is perfect).

Good Luck!

My son attends St. John's and we absolutely love it! I wish we had started their earlier. The staff is great and the teachers are wonderful. A friend of mine has 2 daughters and both of them have also attended.
